Attention Entegra:Right front slide roller issue

Cleaning things up here at home I ran the passenger side slide in and out a few times and noticed some odd noises. With the slide fully out I pulled back the rubber "wiper" or seal along the bottom of the slide to check the roller that seemed rough and noisy or bumpy.

That roller is barely visible with the seal completely deflected but I could see enough to be horrified to see that the elastomer coating on the roller (I assume it is a nylon sleeve or similar) is screwing its way off the roller and wadding up at the rear end of the roller. Cause: the nylon covering is all cut up from rolling over something. After some crafty levering and moving the slide back and forth I found the culprit. Entegra: a "spare" black nylon tie wrap is embedded in the roller coating along with particles of tile grout and tile pieces. I managed to finally remove the embedded tie wrap and cleaned as much of the other construction debris out of the roller cover as I could but it is pock marked and far from smooth. This is a perfect example of why the construction debris left in the coaches can be detrimental. There is no question this is construction debris. I'll call CS about a possible fix for the roller but I suspect this one is difficult to replace. In the mean time I would redouble efforts to eliminate the construction debris as it is constantly mentioned as a real turnoff when working on the coach and has caused a failure in this case.

I had a screw in mine. It gouged the floor tile. Entegra replaced the tile and roller while I was there.

Our 2014 Anthem is our second MH. First was a 2013 Thor (we owned for 5 months until we walked into an Entegra). We were pleased with our Thor but are thrilled with our Entegra!

About 28,000 miles and well over 200 nights in the coach in 27 months. The only issue we have had that adversely effect a trip was bad defrost and ice maker solenoids in our fridge that flooded the coach, twice (wasn't repaired correctly by GE the first time)! Entegra and GE stepped up to the plate and repaired everything to include Service Pro dry-out and replacement of water damaged components both times.

Thor CS and warranty was a nightmare to work with. Entegra CS and warranty is painless, they make you feel like you really matter, even after your 2-year warrant expires.

Solid, quiet, reliable, comfortable, easy to drive, a great coach!

If they come out with a Cornerstone DEQ this will not be our last coach, if they don't it may well be.
