Barton's Red Flush Light Saga Conclusion (maybe)

Took the coach to MHSRV to get the mid and high tank sensors replaced. The tech said Thetford recommends 6" outside clearance of the sensors. Mine were between the tanks which are 3/4-1" apart. He located the new sensors on the outside of the tank at the same level they were between the tanks. Light turned green and stayed green for the 63 mile return home and parking. Haven't been able to test a changeover as the tank fills but will very soon. If the light fails to functions properly I will update here, if it works as designed others with the issue may investigate the location of their sensors.

I emailed Entegra CS with this info and suggested they review their manufacturing instructions.

When my issue first started Sabrina suggested proximal interference from metal hold down straps. She probably doesn't realize how close she was to the issue, assuming the relocation solves it.

We have the opposite problem. Have only had a green light in almost 6 months of service. Have had the black quantity over 90% and still a green light.

I wonder when they started/stopped putting the sensors between the tanks. Mine are on the forward left side of the black tank where there is plenty of room for a no interference signal. Only problem I have had is the yellow sensor came unglued from the tank and I had to put it back on with contact cement.

Stew,

Check on the outside edge of the black tank and see if the sensors have become unglued. If they are just hanging by the wires it would give the same symptoms you describe.

My 2014 Anthem DEQ was manufactured the end of May 2013.

Noel, a little bad weather, that's what I get coming home for Christmas😄. We are east of most of the ice and west of the heavy rain. Had a little ice but it has warmed to 33 right now so it melted. Supposed to get colder with heavy thunder snow late tonight and tommorrow. So we are here for a few days!

On my RV they did not install the sensors.. So the light is always green. I could say more but melting monitors is not my style.

And today (just for fun) Doctor increased my LASIX Oh the joy.
