Check basement ground fault if plugged in to shore power.

Welcome to the basement freezer club. We use ours all the time and I have seen post where some have two freezers (one set for freezer and one set higher for a refrigerator). The issue with a basement freezer is you won't know if you have a problem until you open it. We put a freezer alarm in the freezer. There are two sensors, so the other is in the basement near the freezer. We put the display/alarm unit in the cabinet above the entry door.
