Blow it out - Or run pink through it till it comes out solid PINK from all the Hot water lines

Heater is fine with the water out of the system.

But get the water out or it will freeze - and split the lines.

Best of luck,

Thank you for the info. I've been keeping a space heater in the basement and in the coach to keep the temps above freezing. Only had a few nights that's gotten into the upper 20's. We're planning on camping through the winter so I always just drained the water in my old coach and kept a heater going inside for the washing machine etc. this is the first winter with the Anthem and I'm still new to the aqua hot so wasn't sure. Thanks again!

Jason

I've used the electric in mine to keep the temp up - never been an issue - I just blow it out to be safe, in case of a storm that might knock out the electric.

Winter is a great time to RV.

Enjoy,

I wanted to add that in my area of the country the last few nights have dipped in the low 20,s... that being said I have not had any heat going on in my anthem... although I was concerned a few days ago and with the new Honeywell basement thermostat it is wonderful to simply see the actual temp reading.... been going out there first thing in the morning and checking the temp... every time I have checked it’s been around 40 degrees.. these Entegras have such awesome insulation , I haven’t needed the heat even in the 20s. And the new thermostat allows me to not be worried... great upgrade for sure...

Aquahot does have a warning when using not to pressurize over 15psi, if I remember correctly. Just check the manual prior to using air to winterize your unit. I am sure it can handle more pressure, especially if we are running 50psi of water pressure. Most likely, it is an out for aquahot. For me its not worth the chance. The problem of using air is most likely you will not get the water out of the 3 valves an lines in the washer

Aqua hot recommends that anti freeze be used to winterize . It is very difficult to remove all the water from the system with air. Some will find the low point in the aqua hot domestic hot water coil ,freeze and require a complete system replacement. Refer to the owners manual in your coach or online at Entegra’s website for specifics.

First winter for me with our Cornerstone. In S. central Texas we generally have a few nights in mid to high 20s. Stored indoors but building has big exhaust fans so air does get in. We have 30 amp service, so my question is will Aqua Hot run on electric and keep basement 40+? Anything else? Taking off in early Feb and dont really want to pit antifreeze in if I don5 have to..thanks

The electric side of the aqua hot will keep it warm.

Every winter since we have owned our Anthem we have set the basement temp as low as it will go (45 degrees), gas heat on, and it has kept the coach toasty without any problems. Sure it has burned very little fuel but the trade off is an always ready to roll Anthem. It is stored in a large private, alarmed, gated property hangar.

Could you tell me how you wired the Honeywell thermostat that you put in your basement. Mine has two wires and the Honeywell has three

Do you think 20A service would work with electric side of it?

Turn both inverters and one battery charger off and 20 amps shroud do fine. I run a dehumidifier 24/7 which draws the amp on 20 amp service.
If you have an EMS installed you can monitor the draw when the heat come on. If others are using the 20 amp service, (shared storage) it will make a difference if the main breaker can handle it.

Thanks. This leads me to another question: While rolling down the road in 20 degree temps, will the alternator be able to run that electric side of aqua-hot and is that the best configuration? Thanks
