With the Cornerstone, no need. It will heat the coach off of the engine loop.
The alternator is 12v. The aqua hot heat is 120v. Not a cold weather expert, but I don't think the AH is wired to the inverter, diesel instead.

Ok, so while not connected to shore, the only way for electric AH is from Generator. Was trying to figure best rolling configuration for 20 degree temps. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure your Anthem can also be heated from the engine loop through the Aquahot.

Thanks, I wasn't paying attention. I am one that is always saying how important posting year and model is, then I don't read it.

Is the engine loop heat on whenever the Pre-Heater button is selected on Vega touch? Since this is my first winter and I need to take it on a three day trip in some 20-30 degree temps, I am trying to understand the best config to roll with it.

No, the engine heat loop circulates hot engine coolant anytime the engine is running. While driving just select gas heat on the thermostat for whichever zones you want to heat.

Engine preheat is for using before you start the engine. It circulates the engine coolant through the Aquahot unit which is heated by the electric element and/or the diesel burner.

Not sure how Aquahot heat is labeled on Vegatouch thermostat/climate control but on the Classics it is called gas heat as opposed to electric heat which for me would be heat pumps on the roof.

Don’t need diesel burner when driving unless the amount of heat generated by the engine loop is not enough to keep the temperature comfortable.

Bill, regardless of how that’s worded you do not need the engine preheat pump on to heat the Mh from the engine. Anytime the engine is running it’s circulating engine coolant through the Aquahot.
