Not normal. Are they wet cells in a Cornerstone?

Some "sealed" batteries have removable caps that aren't really meant to be removed so might have some slight pressure inside

Battery has pressure when checking water.

Having trouble getting reply to post. I will get there, you guys bare with me. The batteries are Interstate AGM Deep Cycle heavy duty,# GC2-HD-AGM
I checked batteries couple months ago and they were all dry, puzzled me because the were installed new when I purchased the Coach, I was checking water again and noticed some had pressure when I removed the cap. Wondering if it should have water.

I would be surprised if they weren't toast already. Internal pressure suggests plugged cap vents. Are you using the caps that came with the batteries or the automatic watering system caps? Also, what coach are we talking about? Is it an Alpine Coach?

RW,

There is often pressure in AGM jars. This is common because there should be no reason to refill the electrolyte as it should never leave. This is why they are all in the catagory of VRA - Valve Regulated Adsorbed.

It will look dry if you pry a cap off because there is not supposed to be any free liquid in the cells.

These are Not Wet Cell Batteries. AGM batteries Do Not use water. They are a Maintenance Free Battery. If you have added water, you will need to replace them. Sorry,

OP owns an Entegra. Unclear why post was made on Alpine forum.

Clearly an expensive lesson on learning to read the manual first.

If you haven't added water, just put the caps back on and keep your fingers crossed. Surprised you were able to get the caps off but maybe interstate are silly enough to make it easy

As for which forum to post on, this type of post would get many more responses if it is posted on a general issues or electrical forum rather than a brand specific forum

Just to make it perfectly clear, AGM batteries do not need the water checked or refilled. That is the whole point of AGM batteries. The caps should never be removed. To do so will likely ruin the battery. Leave them alone, keep them properly charged at all times, never discharge beyond 50%, and you will enjoy long life with zero maintenance. The only thing you need to do is keep dirt away from the terminals and assure that the connections are tight once in awhile.
