Bed Lift?

Someday I'm gonna get the hang of vBuliten's search routine, and perhaps be able to find things...
In the meantime, I'm new to Entegra, new to this forum, and really don't "know" anyone yet.
maybe if I post enough that will change?

Bed Lifts. Mine suck. part # is C16-08055, 120 pounds.
They will hold the bed up 23" at the foot, but I have to lift it up there, and it's heavy.

Now I purchased this bus ('17 Aspire) used, and I'm not certain the mattress is original. It's a giant Denver Mattress Narrow King (72 x 80) and it's a whopping 14" thick!
Really comfy, too.

Is this the standard mattress? (would explain a lot if it wasn't)
Do everyone's bed lifts suck?

My previous coach was similar, and I was able to reposition the factory lifts such that they would lift the bed. Gentle tug, up it comes. Little push, down she goes.

I'd like 6 more inches of lift, too.
We have a file drawer and our laundry basket under there, we open it all the time.

Anyone have any bed lift comments to share?

Welcome to the group and the Entegra family. Yes, if you post a lot and contribute good stuff, you will have lots of friends. . Looking forward to it.

On your questions, my bed lift is a pretty hard lift and the bed snaps up and down. DW doesnít like to do it alone. But we have learned to live with it, and made no changes over 3 years.

Our bed in my 15 was a sleep number. But around 16, Entegra tried a memory foam mattress but then found it was not certified for use in a motor home and offered to swap back to a sleep number or sign a waiver to keep it

The 2017 Aspires came with Denver mattresses. We chose to keep our Tempur-Pedic mattress (see Garyís post above), and our bed lift is also not ideal. If you make a change to your bed lift, either in the parts used or the positioning, please share your mod.

The cool way to upgrade would be to use a linear actuator. This would make your bed lift powered by electricity. You could raise and lower it at the touch of a button and stop it anywhere along its travel.

The bed on the Classic is also hard to lift and that is with a select comfort air mattress which is much lighter than a Denver mattress.

I have 150's lbs on my old Eagle and the bed pops right up and holds there.
