Black tank sensor (how to flush)?
I have noticed some talk about a sensor problem with holding tanks for sometime. I never had an issue until today. Went to get RV from storage and flush mode has a red light indicating tank full. Of course it won’t flush. Tank isn’t full. Entegra gave me service bulletin but has to be done by dealer. Is there anyway to get it to flush on our upcoming trip??
Thanks in advance for any help guys.
Safe travels all

If you hold the flush button long enough (10-20 sec) it will flush.
Later...

Holding both buttons is to empty the bowl for travel. It will not due that when it thinks the tank is full.
Later...

Ours did the same thing on a recent trip after the tanks were emptied. I wiggled the sensor wires on the tanks and all started working correctly again. Being on the road I did not want to tear into it sense it was all working again but now that we are home I will tear into it and see if I can find the problem (once it cools down in a month or two).

Hook a hose up to you black tank sprayer. Then fill the black tank to about 85% +. Do that twice it usually cleans the inside of tank. If that doesn’t work remove sensors from side of tank and hang them in air. No red lights ever again.

We get a solid red LED …..After we park…..go figure.
Holding One button (either one) for six(6) seconds will get Tecma toilet to flush. Sometime a couple of tries, it will clear.
We don’t use the rear toilet too much. Lack of use will send the LED lights into a sleep mode(no lights).
I can only surmise there is some debris in there that normal black tank flushing doesn’t get to.
I’ve never seen the shape of the black tank but would hazard to guess the “full” sensor is up where the tank is narrowest and doesn’t get a lot of water.
Luckily, we have a gravity drop mid bath that I can fish a power head sprayer down. If you can’t do that, filling the tank up and a drive might clear the sensor.

Short note.
Never have fully emptied the Tecma toilet (mid bath) and have never found that is necessary or needed. There is only a small amount of new water in the toilet after flushing it and that water manages to stay right where it is needed next even though I may have just driven 500 miles at 78 mph on America's super (and smooth) highways !! It's just not a needed step.

I don't drain it for travel either and don't see the need for that. It's not like we're hill climbing or anything.
The only time I use that mode is if the toilet is plugged and I don't want to add any more water. By using the two buttons I can flush the toilet (eventually once things soften up) without overflow the bowl. Once things start to move I go back to the normal flush.
