Blinkers on Cornerstone
Had coach inspected in Texas today and we could not get any blinkers to work up front only tail lights. Are the yellow side markers suppose yo blink? How about the yellow ones on the mirrors? Same for top of cap yellow lights....at least one is out...are the outside ones suppose to blink?

I assume a pre 2016 cornerstone. The only turnsignals are in the rear (red) and the amber in the very front of the bus. Right next to the headlights.
No side or top marker lights or mirror lights are set up to be directional.

They are just a one element bulb. If they light up with your lights on then they are working, no need to replace. if they are not blinking you will need to look at the flasher relay in the coach or might be another issue.

My understanding is the 2016 side markers blink with the turn signal but 2015 and earlier do not. My 2014 Anthem does not.

After this trip I am going to change the side markers to the 2016 ten LED's, plus add one, then wire them all to the turn signals. Our side markers are wimpy, people can't see us coming.

I added these below the originals and they blink with the turn signals. The wiring is there to have it blink but Entegra didn't complete the job for some reason. The ones I added just require a 3/4 hole and are marker lights as well as turn.

Chuck FWIW, if you are going to re-wire and you will have to, it will take the same amount of time to wire for multiple markers. To convert yours over to a 2016, I believe is a one marker light blinking, you might as well wire the side so you can have multiple markers and blinkers.
With your talent and abilities it will take a better part of a day or less.
I can't say enough good things about having side markers and blinkers. Without them I would have to fight to move a lane. Now people really see and know if I am changing lanes. Even if someone is midship, when I let them know I am trying to get over, they move quickly. Amazing the difference in visibility. Oh by the way there are 20 to 30 led lights in just one of my markers. Hidden during the day until I turn them on.

Our Allegro Bus had turn signals flash on the mirror arms but they did not flash the side marker lights. On our 2016 CS we have the side markers flash, which is good, but the amber lights on the mirror arms are strictly markers and do not flash. The problem with that is if a car is ahead of your side markers but can still see the mirror lights. If they flashed it would give them an indication that you wanted to turn. Having some sort of warning near the front of the coach would be helpful. Although some drivers would be clueless if a big sign jumped out in front of them.

Mike, it was watching you leave Shipshewana South.... that convinced me to follow your lead. After fighting people to change lanes on this trip, I will be adding lights and they all will connect to the turn signals. I can defiantly see what you are talking about waking sleeping drivers up that you are trying to change lanes. I think I might have your light part numbers bookmarked.....the more LED's the better!
Gasman, I will check the wiring on mine when I get into it, but I don't think the 2014 has the wiring to make the marker lights turn signals. At least I didn't see it when I was adding all of the LED's but I will double check for sure.

Chuck,
On our 2013 Aspire the turn signal wire you need is in the last electric plug for the marker light in the drive axle wheel well. The wiring harness coming to this plug has three wires and the wiring exiting to the marker light has two. That third wire is the turn signal.

Cruzer That is why I installed running markers/blinkers from Mid ship forward on the cargo doors. Any car on either side of the coach at any point on the side of the coach can see me and if I want or need to come into their lane they get the hint pretty fast. The markers are almost eye level with cars and light trucks. Mid ship back are marker only.
Another advantage of the installation is placement of the marker/blinker about 8 feet forward of the center drive axle in the cargo door. It provides a visual pivot point in my mirrors to back up and to clear obstacles. An old LD training tip.
