No rebuild available

I am glad that I read through all of the posts. I contacted Blue Ox about having mine repaired and this was their answer.

Thank you for contacting us,

We do not service towbars over 8 years old. This towbar BX7335 is very old. We stopped making this towbar back in 2006. Towbars do wear out, and metal fatigue starts to set in. We recommend getting a towbar replaced around 8-10 years. Our dealers can offer $150 trade in discount towards a new towbar. We do have a dealer locator on our website at www.blueox.com. There you can put in your address, and it will pull Blue Ox dealers up around you. That way you can call around to see what they can offer you for a new towbar.

Please let me know if you have any further questions

Thank you

I just don't understand why so darn many people buy those things....

Must be a case of "follow the leader"....

I have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 that is hooked to a Suzuki Samurai. It tows very nicely and corners very well as it does NOT have power steering to inhibit the turning. I also took a piece of pipe insulation and put stripes on it, install it on the top of the steering wheel so I can easily monitor the Samurai tracking the motor home. It weighs just over 2000 pounds and is so short that it never comes close to maximum turning radius.

Tow bar problems

I bought a used Roadmaster All-Terrain about 5 years ago, and one of the arms was very stiff. In fact, it was almost impossible to move. I called Roadmaster, and the technician told me exactly what parts I needed to overhaul it, and I ordered them. When they arrived, I called him back, and he walked me through the process step by step. I was very pleased with their service, and it has operated great since then.

What does time have to do with tow bar life? Nothing.

If a tow bar is no abused, put into a bind, and is serviced it should last for a lot of miles. I have about a140,000 miles on mine and plan to go many more miles on it.
