Please don't forget the effects of humidity: during our stay in southern AL, most days the temps were "only" in the 95-98 range, but with a dew point that averaged 76 degrees.

Combined, the heat index was an extremely miserable 110-112. One day was so bad, I almost wore a mask and snorkel when I went outside:-)! Thanks,

BG

For this area it was a hot day, brushing 70. By 7:30PM or so - it was 63. Newport, OR... Pacific Shores, about an equal mix of Entegra's and Country Coaches today. But Newmar has us all out numbered, as Guarantee RV from Junction City - has a fleet of Newmar's on display here, with a sprinkling of Winnebago's too...

Best to all, stay cool,

Smitty

Smitty, you are spot on. We are Beyond Hope (you understand) until the 10th of August, will run home for a few days and then back down for the NWCC rally a the end of August. We’ve been coming to Beyond Hope for 20 years, seen many changes but our adult kids still love it so they join us here each year.

Pacific Shores is a beautiful place in Oregon and I can understand how us CCers are loosing ground to the others, dealerships n Ed to stay in business.

Cheers,

One thing I learned in this heat. I can feel the difference, in temperature, between the floor where the generator is and the rest of the coach.

Although the basement temperatures where in the low hundreds, the floors remained cool. Outside temperatures where also in the low hundreds and the floor above the generator was warm. I could actually feel where the cavity for the generator starts and ends.

Hey Matt - Lets hope that cool weather follows you back to Texas.

That is very odd. The generator is so far forward it is under the dash, so I don’t understand how you can feel where it starts and ends. In my Aspire I can sometimes feel where the floor is warmer over the are where the AquaHot is located and may also be affected by warm air from refrigerator compressor.

Just finished greasing the chassis, so good timing on your question.

If you’ve ever got under an Anthem, K2 chassis, you’d see that the back of the generator is in front of the front tires and just about beyond the back of the stairs, maybe inline with the stairs. Now these are rough estimates, so don’t hold me to it. It’s not completely under the dash. The front of the generator sits about a foot behind the fiberglass door, maybe a little bit more. Behind the generator are the three air tanks followed by the independent front suspension, then the storage compartments.

I guess I didn’t know I needed be more specific! But I was taking about the area from the front of the coach to where the storage compartments begin. Only mention the generator because I thought everyone knew that area.

Now I know you own an Aspire, which also sits on a K2 chassis, so your setup should be similar. Outside of the air tanks. You may have two up front and one in the back.....
