Brake Controller

I have a 2011 aspire 42RB and am purchasing our first flat tow Jeep, it has the stealth brake system. I cannot seem to find the brake controller connection. The manuals are of no help. I know many of you have brake controllers so any help is appreciated.

We donít have brake controllers as most use Air Force one or M and G brake systems. They all require you to have an air line from the back of the coach. We personally like the M and G brake system the best. Here is their website: https://m-gengineering.com

You don't need a brake controller unless you are towing a trailer with brakes. Any flat tow braking system either uses the brake light, inertia, or air to activate the brakes in the toad.

The wires should be up under the dash by your left foot. They labeled them on our coaches in the past. I think its a 4 wire bundle.

I agree, if flat towing you shouldn’t need a controller. I just installed a controller on my coach for a trailer. There are 3 wires all marked behind your speedometer. Very easy to see once you remove the panel with the gauges.

Well folks looked under the dash. No wires marked. This is a 2011 so maybe they are different.

Should be a blue 10 gauge wire extreme left under side of dash.

This is where it is on a coach with the classic dash.... and should be up there somewhere for your coach also. Its a rats nest of wires and doesn't surprise me that you can't find it.

On my 14, the blue brake wire was behind the left foot kick panel that's under the dash. There are a few screw that need to be removed.

Jeanne, never thought about that it could be a Freightliner. If so when we had the 2000 Dutch Star the wires for the brake controller were in the center of the dash area. They were not heavy gauge wires like Spartan uses maybe 14 gauge. Found two wires and since I was using electric brakes I tired them together. At that time Freightliner did not have those wired into the 7 pin RV plug, they were just loose near the plug.
Also Jeanne we can through Washington last evening from the Turnpike to Ohio and 70 was the best ever, Penn DOT has done a lot of upgrades in the last few years.

If the chassis is a Spartan this may help.
