Bubbles and "stale" oder from rear bathroom sink 44W
I have a strange problem with my rear bathroom sink. It's isolated to the sink only.
The water is loaded with air bubbles and there is a strange sort of stale oder to it. DW says it's makes her choke and she swears it smells like a chemical.
Any ideas?

Drain gray water tank. Pull the "P" trap and clean it. If that don't work, take a shop vac, remove the bag in the canister, form a seal at suction end and place on pipe that leads to gray water tank and suck out the guts out. That should do it. One more thing to check, air vent on roof. If you can get the cover off safely, shop vac again.
Good luck.

Here is the last post on foaming. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/foa...er-456419.html
I have had the bad water smell before and it was me forgetting to change the water filter and back-flushing the water softener before leaving. It was strange on mine too, I could only smell it in the shower. Why not all faucets, I don't have a clue didn't make sense.

Same in my rear sink, some of the time, when water sits a day or longer. Have changed the Studor valve, checked the sink for debris removing the stopper. Have not checked the P=trap to clean, will try that. The smell is not the water (I think), just something coming from the drain, and it does not last long.
