I think that's exactly what happened to mine. I had noticed the decorative tape above our "drop-down" slide getting messed up but unfortunately I just put it on the PDI list and didn't think much about it. Months later I was on a ladder out by that slide and saw this huge bubble in the slide roof covering:

The roof covering material is sticking to the inside wall when the slide pinches it and does it's "drop down" and that's pulling the cover up. This is a shot with a camera held up behind the slide trim with the slide in:

It's slowly getting worse with each slide extension, but I will only need to do that a few more times before my factory PDI visit in early April. I'm gonna put some electrical tape over the sticky stuff on the inside coach wall and keep an eye on it. I'll patch the slide covering as needed with eternabond if it develops a tear or hole before I can get it to Middlebury.

Eternabond from the top of the slide pulling loose . The new fix is a piece of flat stock Aluminum mounted just above the roof of the slide (in the 90 degree area ) so the eternabond wont pull loose again.

FWIW - I cleaned mine a bit and the blindly applied a little duct tape to hold the membrane down before returning back to work today. When I extended the slide, I noticed much reduced "bunching" of the membrane over the wood fascia. I may re-visit this approach next time I'm home.

I looked at the top of our slide this morning when it was retracted. It is all smooth and flat. The offending 3-4" wide strip was smooth and flat also! Extended them tonight and it bunched up again.

I will probably take it to MHSRV for a new windshield and will get them to repair the sealant.

Let us know how it works out. If they figure it out - I'll take mine there after they use your coach as a training aid.

I talked to a few at our PDI and post #16 was the method Entegra was using. I wish I could have seen one of the repairs to see what it looked like.

Not sure I'm picturing this correctly. Does the aluminium stock run the full length of the slide fore & aft and lay flat on the slide top? How thick, what holds it in place?

Got a response from CS today. They recommended not attempting a repair in my own, to take it to a dealer so they could also determine why it happened.

Looks like JP at MHSRV will get some business from me that I will have to pay for!

I was at a repair shop and seen one being repaired. What they did: 1. pull the slide in. 2. Install a piece of aluminum stock ( 1/4" thick by 2" wide est.) along the top of the slide behind the trim board you see from the inside the coach when the slide is out. Almost the whole length of the slide, minus about 4" of each slide. 3. This was mounted above the slide eternabond to the wood trim that you see from inside your coach. Close to the 90 degree area directly above the slideout roof.

Of course this is after all the slideout roof was put back in place. This allows the material from not coming loose on the slide when being operated in and out

Personally, I would be concerned about water leaks into the wood facia. ( this where the aluminum is screwed too, just the opposite side) I guess it could be sealed properly though.
