I am wondering if other Vision owners have run into this problem and how they addressed it. My drop down bed over the cab area has guide rails on the "rear" side of the bed platform. Their purpose seems to be to keep the bec platform from moving front to back. When on the road this bed is used nightly. Unfortunately, the screws holding the guide rails into the side walls have come loose allowing the bed to have some play in it. By "loose" I mean the screws have opened up the holes in the wall panels and can move around.

I have the wall drawings from Entegra customer support and it looks to me like all that is in the wall is the thin 2.7mm panel backed by 1.5" styrofoam. So now I'm struggling to figure out how best to secure it. Right now I'm thinking a wall anchor type fastener but that will require drilling an oversized hole.

Any suggestions or ideas on how to make a secure attachment to these wall panels without further destroying the panel itself?

Look for these anchors.
I just included a Lowes link, but you can get them at most hardware stores or Amazon.
I use them for all my thin walls in the RV. They have held up well so far.

Oversized holes and loose screws are often taken care of with a strong epoxy (JB WELD - https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-8265...86&sr=8-3&th=1) I have used it often on many projects to solve loose screws.

Talk to the Company to see what they have used to ANCHOR THESE as they need to be sturdy - they probably have had the issue before.

I'm not endorsing J-B Weld for your project. However, J-B Weld is a great product and very well may be a perfect solution.

Just be aware that there are two similar, but different J-B Weld products. The original J-B Weld and the similar J-B Kwick. Although the J-B Kwik sets up more quickly, my experience has been the the original J-B Weld yields a much stronger bond.

I had the same issue on my vision 29f. I was able to put a few slightly larger 1 inch screws in (driver side rail in my case) and it has solved the issue. We use the overhead bunk every time we take it out.

If there's always going to be some significant force on it, I might go so far as to figure out a way to glue/screw another strip of plywood right along the attachment points and give myself double or more the screw strength.

When I went to fix this issue I brought the bed down to check what was happening. What I saw was that the drivers side rail pulled out from the wall about 1/8 inch. That's what started this apparently. Using a bigger screw would help with the lateral (front to back) stability but I fear would just pull out of the wall again.

So..I went with the JB Weld approach. Shot some epoxy into the void, put the screw back in, and lowered the bed to its bottom position while it cured. Seems to be quite solid and has made it through 20 straight nights of use. Now I've got to go after the passenger side rail!
