C Lights front and rear coating coming off

Looks like they were sprayed with clear coat for gloss. I would remove them and bring to a local auto body shop for sanding and re-spray.

A friend complained to Joyce at Entegra and they ended up replacing them for free

I had the front replaced twice under warranty and the rear once. When they replaced the front ones the first time they were supposed to be the improved version. It turned out they weren't much better than the first version. I have seen in other threads that they are pretty pricey. We will see if the latest set will make it a year. I don't remember the cost though sorry.

I had my front "C" lights replaced at my 2 year AIR under warranty. The replacements, about 1 1/2 years later are showing some of the similar loss of clear coat.

I haven't removed them myself, but, there are several threads discussing removal/replacement with a recurring theme that there's a distinct possibility of breaking off one (or more) of the attachment tabs.

Take care,
Stu

Well, here is Entegra's current thoughts on peeling light covers:

Good Afternoon David:
I did some checking because I’m fairly new to the company, and it sounds like we have seen this problem pop up on several occasions. We did send the coaches out for clear coating in the past but starting in 2022 we are no longer clear coating, we are keeping the lens in a matte finish. Some ideas that were brought to me was what kind of cleaning product is customer using (maybe harsh chemicals in cleaning product). If you want to take lens down to a matte finish you could sand off the clearing coating. Or if you want to keep clearing coating you could put your own clearing coating on the lens. Thank you for your email and have a great day.

C-Lights

Bought my "new" 2019 CS from a private seller out of warranty and on our second trip the front PS white C-Light blew off. Not being under warranty, I had to pay for both DS and PS C-lights (they are sold as a set). The cost for both was $600+. If anyone needs a DS front C-Light, I'd be willing sell my new one at my cost. It was a simple install with no issues so far after about 3000 miles.

The important part of the response from Entegra is that it appears that they don't have any problem with us simply putting a new coat over top of the clear coat they have on it now.. Maybe a light, local sanding and then another coat.

That sounds like the way to go when it begins to happen.
