Cable TV help

OK… I give up! Trying to watch the Super Bowl today and I can’t pick up the local Fox affiliate on my over the air. I connected the cable to the post and into the bay where the electrical reel is and I still cannot tune cable. I run the broadcast search for cable and it comes up with zero channels. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance! Go Chiefs!

Have you turned off power to the OTA amplifier?

On my '18 Anthem, the OTA controller/amplifier is in the compartment over the passenger seat.

Take care,
Stu

Have you successfully used any campground cable as the source in the past? Just trying to confirm whether it's a "switch position" issue or a "hard wire" defect that originated when it was built.

The On/Off button in the upper left corner must be off for cable to work as the signal source.

Good luck.

Take care,
Stu

How about plugging the cable in the outside tv compartment.

Gregg, a couple of things to try, the app "TV Antenna Helper Free" will let you know if the FOX station is within your range for OTA.

Check with the office to see if a cable box is needed to connect to their outlet. I have run into that before.
Can you connect to another park outlet? I carry a splitter in case I have to ask a neighbor, been there more than once now that many parks don't keep there cable in top condition.

Confirming you are trying to reception thru the park cable, correct? If son simply run cable from the park cable outlet directly to the cable input on your TV. This will eliminate any potential failure points within your rig.

After hooking up, rescan your set. If you don't get reception, speak with park management about your spot not having cable.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I think it was a combination of the OTA amp and a bad cable run from the post to the MH.
Got the pregame! Woot Woot! Go Chiefs!
