Hello Registrants of the ENTEGRA@QUARTZSITE GATHERING!

I have written to all owners who have registered for the January 2021 Quartzsite Gathering but since my prior post was read by thousands or hundreds of others here on this forum, I am also posting the same message here.

I’m writing to tell you that I have decided to cancel the Gathering this January (2021). I am doing this out of concern over everyone’s health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic. Although a month or two ago, I felt that the Entegra@ Quartzsite Gathering was unique enough in its format and done outside for all events, that it could be scheduled with minimal risk of COVID infection for Dee and me and everyone in the other coaches attending. However, with the rates of new infections spiking so dramatically right now, the number of new COVID cases geometrically increasing each week, the fact that Arizona is one of the three states with the highest current rates of infection and the worst hospital bed availability at all the major AZ medical centers, it is just too high a risk to everyone to continue to hold this event.

I also felt that this decision needed to be made now so that registrant coaches can make alternate reservations and arrangements. Doing it a couple of weeks from now would inconvenience more of you and be less fair than giving you more time to make decisions or other arrangements.

I apologize for making this decision, but I think this is the right decision that most protects the health and safety of everyone. Dee and I really enjoy our time in and around Quartzsite and the Southwest during the winter and are really going to miss our time out in the southwest this winter. I will ask our ECOA treasurer to refund your registration fee back in whatever form you made it and I will let you know when this will be done. It should not take much time.

I would hope that we all get effective vaccines early in 2021 and that we are all healthy and immune by next summer. I look forward to “wagonmastering” the 7th Annual ENTEGRA@QUARTZSITE GATHERING in January 2022 and that you might be able to join us again then.

Unfortunately, the right thing to do at this time. Hopefully next year at this time we will have forgotten COVID...

Gary while we're not participants you've made a wise decision based on the current status of escalating cases and other venues that are going forward IMHO are not acting responsibly.
