Can't get the sliding closet doors to latch
Has anybody had trouble getting the sliding closet doors to latch? I don't see how they ever worked, the little levers that twist down won't fit past one another. Any thoughts?

Hi kenneychaz,
You've found your way to the Entegra Owner's Forum. Entegra uses a closet latch that looks like this:
Sorry that I can't offer a solution.
You might find more useful help by posting on the Fleetwood Owner's Forum.
Good luck.
Take care,
Stu

I don't think you have a latch like the one pictured. If yours is like mine you need to get a small standard screw driver and place it into the lower area of the part attached to the door. The part that receives the strike plate. Pry up until the spring loaded catch pop up. You should then be able to latch the door.

Kenny, Need to post what MH you are referring to. Your profile shows a Fleetwood with no mention of an Entegra. No signature line that would help others with what type motor home.

Hi Kenneychaz,
The latch shown in my prior post is the one installed on my '18 Anthem. Not sure what was used during the '12 model year.
There are many 'Classic' owners here. I'd expect that one of them will be along to offer help.
Take care,
Stu

You may have this type of catch on your closet door. If so the part that attaches to the door may be broken and need replacing.

This is what the complete latch mechanism that Don mentioned looks like:
The red arrow points to the locking part of that mechanism (typically mounted on the door) that engages the catch (typically mounted on the wall).
I've had the locking part get snapped in the "locked" position with the door open, precluding any subsequent latching until you reach in and gently pry the locking part open. I hope that makes sense.
Good luck.
Take care,
Stu

OK...I have the same coach as you... for my closet doors, when they close together, they are magnetically held together....there are no other latches. My understanding is that once underway, there is an airlock that keep the doors in place. The airlock seems to work, whether the closet doors are opened or closed, when underway.
Hope this helps....not sure why they would build coaches with different closet latches....

Best thing would be for the OP to post a photo of his latch so we are all on the same page. I'll be the fix would be instant if we could see what he is seeing.

closet doors
Kenny, I suspect that your closet doors are similar to ours. You're right they don't latch well together so we just leave the doors open. There is no magnet on ours and if we don't latch the doors closed they will come banging open the first time you make a turn.
