CB Antenna Connection

I installed a 2 ft x3 ft steel plate on my roof on the drivers side of my front a/c. I used a lil will magnetic antenna and the swr is almost perfect. Works great and I can get about 4 miles range.

I have also been thinking about using mag mount antennas, placed on an angle bracket attached to the false awning. While I plan to stick with antennas in the 24 inch range, my logic is that if I do happen to contact a tree or something else the magnet would let go before any damage is done. Then I get back up on the roof and reset the antenna.

I am looking at installing 3 antennas, so I am keen on attaching to the false awning, if I can get a decent ground plane.

I am also nervous about drilling down into the coach for the coax.
