You could unplug shore cord, turn off your inverter, and if it still works, it's 12v.

Most everything in a RV is 12v, cept the microwave washer/dryer chargers (maybe TV/audio) etc....

Try turning it on w/o shore power, and your inverter off, if it runs it is 12v
This test will work every time?

Here is a post with several answers, http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/ceil...er-324616.html
Still not sure which is the correct answer. If your fan still works Bflin suggestion would tell what it is.

Yes, unless you have a mysterious alternative source of 120v AC. You could also remove the cover plate, or otherwise check the wiring, 12v is usually stranded wire much smaller gauge than 120v, at least as the wires come from the source. A 120v fan might have stranded wires from the fan, but it would connect to solid copper wires in the 120v supply. In addition, if you can access the wires, you could put a multimeter to work and be sure.

I won't give a solid "It's XXv because I'm not there, don't have eyes on the fan, know its make or model, and can't be 100% sure. Yes, most RVs use most all 12v DC lights and amenities, but my RV, and most others do have a couple of 120v light fixtures.

Mine is 12VDC, but it is an aftermarket mod so may be different than the factory fans. I think it would be a poor choice however to use a 110V fan because then it would have to run through the inverter when not on shore power or generator, which would be less efficient and would deplete the house batteries more rapidly than would a 12V fan.

If it is a factory installed ceiling fan and your coach is 2014 (perhaps 2015 as well) it will be 120v AC. In 2016 and newer I believe Entegra went to 12v DC fans.
