Ceiling LEDs

I have some ceiling LEDs that are flickering. Called CS to see how to replace them. Was informed that the whole fixture needs to be replaced? Any different experiences?

Probably no help Corey, but I asked LD the same question if a bulb went out and they didn't have a clue.

I will look forward to the answer as it is going to happen sooner or later, even with LED's.

I have had 5 that have partial outages. Had some replaced at entegra last month...never would have occurred to me that you would have to replace the fixture upon failure.

I have one flickering. I "turned" the glass plate, hoping to open it to see the bulb. No success in seeing the bulb, but the flickering stopped.

The bulbs are not replaceable in my 2013 Aspire. The LED's are part of the fixture and you have to pull them down and install a whole new fixture.

Other option is an upgrade to a 2015

I sure hope this will not be a "dealer only" part.

I have some with dead bugs in them. Is the glass not removable for cleaning?

The glass is removable with a twist.

Have tried to turn gently. Will try a firmer turn tomorrow. Thanks.

In mine, the ones that are larger, you can remove the glass diffuser by twisting it out. I have not been able to remove it on the smaller ones. They seem like a one piece unit. Even though you can remove the larger diffusers, I did not recognize what kind of replacement bulb/element was in there.
