Century Boiler (Transfer) Fluid pricing

It has been a while since I bought spare Century Boiler Fluid just in case of problems with my AquaHot system and I was amazed at the changes. First of all, some standard sources don't carry it at all right now (Amazon), Second, the typical price people are asking is almost twice the price it was two years ago. Third, the label color is different and there are suggestions that it is a different format, fourth - it appears that there are other companies now selling a similar or comparable product (these other companies didn't exist two years ago).

Has anyone bought it recently and have any information on best prices and best sources?

Gary, I switched out the OEM fluid for the Camco pink stuff when we got the coach. Camco replaced their original pink for a newer version a couple of years ago.
Good news is it is readily available most anywhere and the cost is reasonable compared to your OEM green fluid.
Might be time to flush and change.

Amazon has it in and out of stock
Just watch it in a watch list.
Last bottle I got was last yr just in case for $29.00
It’s up to $50.
I have a Amazon Motorhome list I look at every few weeks.
It was in stock in November

Assume its temporarily gone from Amazon. That has been my "go to' place for either premixed or concentrated. I always have a gallon or two aboard. I find my AH burns through some of the transfer fluid after a month of having the electric element or diesel burner on, so I always carry a spare gallon or two.

I never mix pink or yellow/green. At least a few years ago, everyone "in the know" said never mix, even though the manufacturers all said it was all the same and it didnt matter, and there was a period mixing seemed to be responsible for the build up of sludge, so I have always stayed with yellow (to my eyes) / green Century boiler fluid.

The price has skyrocketed probably due to supply chain issues. I just thought that some of us owners would have new/additional knowledge/understanding with what is going on, where to buy, etc. I see it from about 70.00 to nearly $100, some plus shipping.

Gary, as you know from previous posts the problems I have had with Century fluid. Now with the "new" prices, Like Tom, I would switch in a heartbeat and never worry about it again,. Much easier next time fluid is needed is to shop who has it on sale, rather than who has it in stock at double the price.
On my current 21 I will add distilled water, if needed, checking it with the refractormeter until I am no longer in tolerance, then dump it for Camco Pink that is available anywhere, often on sale. JMO

What Camping World had and I bought was 2 gallons of the new brown outline label pre-mix at 50/50 concentration.

I have not drained the system to switch to “pink” yet so staying with Century….. mine has stayed perfect from May 2018…. Clear as brand new and no problems. I have to add a cup every 6 months to a year, but otherwise, no problem ( except current scarcity on the market),

I have a theory about the clumping or coagulation issue that some have experienced with the Century fluid. We ran ours eight years without an issue. We added fluid or distilled water as needed. The fluid turned brown but never had a problem with any solids forming. We even had the PH tested and it was within specs. I believe that because we were full timing and using the AH continuously it kept the solids in the fluid from settling. That's it.
