Changing Macerator Hose, 2017 Anthem

My macerator hose finally developed a leak. I am very happy that I got the upgraded version with the sleeve, saved me a shower I think!

My question is, how do you remove the old hose. Its way in the back of the macerator bay, but it looks like it unscrews. Just want to confirm that.

Thanks

My hose attaches directly to the macerator, a 400S Turbo, by simply pressing on. There is a single hose barb on the tube extending from the macerator. It's certainly possible that a hose clamp was added for insurance.

I needed to change mine for the same reason. It just unscrewed like you suggested.

Got it off. Of note is that the hose is a male fitting. In the dark recesses of that space I think I was grabbing the female end that is glued on (and the wrong place to grab) and that is why I was struggling.
thanks

Van, yeah it's a pain to basically feel your way with getting it off. I swapped out the original sleeveless one a few years ago. It helped to have a helper to stretch the hose out and twist the far end while I was doing the same inside the compartment.

This thread also reminded me that I was going to proactively replace the hose this year. I really don't want to get wet.

I really want to put a banjo style quick connect in there, but there just isn't a lot of room.

Macerator hose modification

Van,

As long as you are replacing the hose, you might consider making this modification. It makes for much easier connection and allows constant drain of the grey water while set up.

Will try to post an earlier post I did to our Anthem. It is post #10 on the thread.
