Changing out Furniture Advice

I will be replacing the 100" "L" couch with a 100" Reclining Couch and seeking advice on the best way to remove the old and bring in the new? I suspect the passenger seat needs to be removed? anything else to make this easier? Thanks All

It is not necessary to remove the front seats. The 100" couches both come in three sections. EZPZ. You may have to drill new holes for the mounting bolts

Mr. Lambright, who makes a lot of the couches that owners put in their coach takes them out piece by piece/section by section, I believe, and leaves the front seats where they are.

Depending on the couch you buy the window valance may also need to be altered. We replaced our factor 100" couch with a Harrison high back. In order to clear when reclined we had to shorten the legs of the valance.

We have replaced an L couch in an Aspire and replaced factory Villa recliners in Anthem with Lambright recliners. Both time the old disassembled and each piece was carried out above and over the pass seat although sled back as far as it would go and reclined. Assuming you have 100" it is a B model. Assuming your doing the install? Mostly just have the slide out and start unbolting it from the slide floor. Vernon Lambright sells a custom fit. Be sure of all the measurements when ordering. The reclining couch will slip past the valances. No need to cut or change them. You will need to drill new holes in the floor for the new seating. Be sure it is properly positioned when up and then recline each to be sure of valance clearance. The front bolts are a little tricky. If some can not be removed you will need to cut them off inside. All the other hardware can be reused (nut, washers, bolts). a great improvement in enjoying your coach for sure.

We completely removed all furniture in our Anthem this summer and we did not have to remove any front seats. I would never suggest removing the front window or any window to change out the furniture.

We went with Lambright as it is the best there is

Absolutely unnecessary to remove the windshield. Don’t let anyone talk you into that because the sofa back is 3 pieces, the bottom is 2 pieces the L section unbolts from the bed section and it will all go out the entry door.

What did you do about the extra space as the Couch is 100" and the Theatre Seats seem to come in at 72"? I was also wondering about the valence so thank you for that very helpful info. The owner of the 100" reclining couch has a Cornerstone in the same interior color as mine. The "L" couch is uncomfortable to sit on as I keep slipping off it. I will bring along an inflatable bed for guests. Thank again

I assume you have a Villa L couch. The opening is 100”. If your wanting to put in a double theater seat then you will have to add end tables or a small low cabinet to fill up the 100”. Lambright makes a triple reclining theater couch that all three positions recline fully and even have powered adjustable head rests. That is what we have. Very comfortable and will not interfere with the valance taking up all 100”

That little end table comes in handy. Last count, I think we had 2 million remotes….most of which I have no idea what they do.

We went with the Lambright recliner sofa. Like everyone has said, you will be able to take the original out in pieces as well as install the new one in pieces. You will have to cut some of the old install bolts. Make sure you install the nuts back on any bolt you leave unused. Those bolts go all the way through the slide so any that are left will eventually work there way loose and drag on the tile.
The valance clearance is based on how far back you position the sofa or recliners. Lambright’s stick out farther than the factory so it’s important you mount them as far back as possible. I raise the valance on the window as high as I could and the recliners just do clear. At full extension, the back brushes the wall. The upside of that was it allowed more light in. I liked that so much, I raised the rest of the valances and it really did make a difference in the natural light!
