I am just about to put our Anthem in the shop for annual chassis maintenance. We have a Cummins and Onan shop in our area so they handle our annual engine and generator msintenance. But we have no Spartan shop anywhere near us so have to use a non Spartan shop. Just wondering ball park how much this should cost? I am referring to the annual maintenance as listed in the Spartan Chassis manual that came with our Anthem. Any thoughts?

We are close to St. John's, Newfoundland in Canada. We are booked into a Freightliner shop since there are no Spartan shops near. We are just wondering beforehand what would be a reasonable expected cost range for this work?

I had a major run in with our local Freightliner dealer when combining their lube special with a FL scheduled maint. They overcharged me $500, and then "accidently" locked me out of the coach when I picked it up. I complained bitterly to Fl and they leaned on the locally operated franchised dealer to re-imbursed me the $.
Based on that experience what ever you do, I would get it in writing with the cost estimate.
Turns out this dealer (and others) is noted for not liking to work on motorhomes and of course charges more per hour than regular truck rates.
I would make a copy of the required scheduled maintenance have them go over it and base their estimate on it and attach it to the work order. The FL dealer I "worked" with had never seen their own FL maint sched and had to make a copy of it from my manual. And then still tried to stick it to me.
