As suggested earlier, recommend you contact and work with the Help Desk at Spartan. Scott Wixson's folks there generally have their collective you-know-what together.

Yeah, that is not a correct code. I will call as soon as I get a day off.

SPN729 FMI3 intake air heater circuit either not plugged in or shorted. Wonder how many times it has been cleared to make it my problem instead of the dealers. I'm betting it is a wire that was never hooked up and I bet the light came on on the trip down from Entegra and again at the dealer. A lot easier to let the customer deal with it. Now I have to take it in to a Spartan dealer.

On another issue does the step cover rise up level like my old coach? The one on the Aspire will not but it looks like it can't.

If it is like the Anthem, it comes straight out from just blew the level of the main floor, about an inch drop as I recall.

My experience with the fault codes is they can have something directly to do with a specific system, or they may be something else on that comm bus that reflects itself with the air intake.

For me, I had an ABS and a check transmission fault. Final solution involved neither...the fault codes supply symptoms that give them a starting point for troubleshooting. At least for me, they didn't ask me to see a service site until they thought they had a solution.

Looking at it from below I'm sure the Aspire is the same. The Santiam we had moved over then raised up even with the coach floor.

Not happy! Spartan sent the part for my check engine light but it did not fix the issue. So I still can't use my brand new coach! I don't understand. If you get a check engine light in a new car it tells you what is wrong. I'm very upset. I thought I was getting my coach back today.

As hacked off as I was with my issues that still allowed us to use the rig when new, I bet you are just steaming

You would be correct. I understand that anything can fail at any time. A problem could have come up on our drive home. What has me (steamed) is the dealer admitted the coach came in with the light on and they said they fixed it. They did noting but clear it so I have to deal with it.......not them. Entegra and Spartan have been very nice and are trying to help me but now I've had the coach at one shop and I am going to have to take it to another. I'm not retired with nothing to do but drive my coach around to different service places. At least the coach should have been correct when I drove off the lot.

I would also be fuming over what the dealer did. Who was that dealer again?

Ouch! I guess they can sell then, but can't or won't service? Can you get it to an authorized Spartan Chassis center? That would be my next step. Good luck!

Can't get in for a month! My deal is I should never have had to deal with it.

Shadowbolt, I really feel for you. Nothing more frustrating than buying something and then not being able to use it through no fault of your own.

This may be a bit of over kill but you may want to check out the Lemon Laws in your state and if necessary draw the dealer attention to the law. You have been more than patient and you have given the dealer more than enough time to fix the problem.

Once again feel bad for you bud, take care-Steve

I'm sure it can be fixed and I'm sure it will be fixed. I am only upset with MHS. Not Entegra or Spartan. MHS knew it had a cel and they cleared it long enough to get rid of me. If they had taken care of it they would have had to take the coach into a Cummins dealer. No way a dealer (at least not many) is going to spend the time and money ( because time is money) to take care of this. Much easier to just clear the code and send the poor sucker (me) down the road and let them deal with it. Saves the dealer a lot of headaches. They don't give a damn about the sucker after they have his money.
