Thank you for the follow-up. Nice to know. Had to read back through your posts to see that you have a 17 Anthem (nice coach). That should be covered by either Spartan's or Cummins warranty.

Also, consider please in setting up a "Signature" on your posts. You will notice that most people who post have an automatic signature section that shows up at the bottom of all of their posts which includes their name, coach model, year, and other things they consider important.... that way, anytime you post, everyone that reads knows what model and year of your coach you are talking about. To set it up, go to the top left of any thread and look for the box labeled UserCP (User Control Panel). Click on that and it will take you to a page where you can look at or set lots of things. One of those on the left side is Signature, click on that and it lets you create your signature section, and it will be published anytime you comment on a thread or start one (see mine below this post). Helps all of us out in trying to be sure we are telling you something that is right for your model and year of coach.

Just had the DEF head replaced by Spartan under warranty on my 17 Insignia for same exact thing. They shipped the part to local Cummins dealership within 24hrs if contacting them and Four Star Freightliner has me on my way in about a hour and a half. Very happy with customer service.

Spartan is even sending replacement steer air bags as I had the repair shop look at one and it had an air leak. Replacing both steer under warranty!

Check Engine light

This can drive you crazy-- suggest taking it to a service center and let them hook-up to a computer to tell what is wrong. My check eng light came on so took it to my service center--found out the "wait to start" light would not come on so chk eng light came on. That's all it showed. It was about 38 degrees so I thought I would turn on the blockheater awhile; started eng and went for a 40 mile "exercise" ride. SO because the blockheater was used the wait to start light did not come on, so chk eng light came on. Mechanic said don't use blockheater unless it is below 30 degrees for a few days and you will be starting eng then.
Cost for this--ZERO!!! Gave mechanic good tip. Welcome to the RV world

I hope you did not give him too much of a tip. You should not be using your engine block heatet at 30 degrees. There is no need for it and no real benifit. The engine block heaters work best is single digit temps. Your coach will start just fine in 30 degree and colder temps.

I am so sure of this that I only use mine in sub temps or with wind chills below 0.
