Clearance lights

Two of the yellow clearance lights on the front of my 2015 Aspire are out. Does anyone know where to get replacements? Also, any advice on installing the new ones.

Most if not all of the RV manufacturers use standard truck clearance lights. You can often find the exact replacement for the entire light assembly at truck stops or truck parts dealers in the industrial part of towns. Colored bulbs too. Even colored LED bulbs are available at most truck stops or ebay/amazon.

Check underneath for some way to release the entire thing.

Do not replace with Entegra lights, they are not sealed and leak. These are the good Peterbuilt lights that fit perfect. Leave the chrome trim off to match. https://www.superbrightleds.com/led-...-led+color-Red

I did ours a couple years ago and they were a pain. The caulk on 2 or 3 three of them made it impossible to remove the original lights without breaking them. Then I had to get the wiring out of the caulk without damaging it. Dont lose the wires or you may never get them back without some major dismantling of the front cap. Finally, removing the 1.5 inch thick caulk made for more fun. I ended up using a dremel with a bit that has teeth on it to get the wiring out. I dont remember how I got the caulk out. I protected the body paint with tape and cardboard. I still ended up with a couple scratches. The final fun was trying to reseal the large holes and put the new lights in. I did not find a way to get to the back of the lights from inside MH.

Easy way to replace the lights. Sharp small knife, cut a square in the large rubber plug holding the wires. Pull the wire out enough to cut and make a splice. When sealing the lights with silicone, fill the hole the hole that was cut for the wires.

They may just need new bulbs. remove the lens and take the old bulb to an auto parts store to get replacements. Easier than replacing entire light if that is all you want.

This is exactly what I did when I replaced the lights on the front of my coach. Also I used some quality heat shrinking butt splices when connecting the new lights.

No bulbs, they are LED's, Light Emitting Diodes. All new coaches use them. Only fix is to replace.

Based on the pictures only, I assume the front turn signal lights are the same on the all the Entegra models. Does anyone know where to get a replacement? I know Entegra sells them but $500 seems a bit extreme. But hey, you do get 2 for that price. I have a 23 Reatta XL BH.

Thanks,

Before replacing the light have you verified that power is getting to the light.

Darksidejeep,

There appears to be a leak in the assembly. About half of the LEDs light and it is dark and cloudy inside the light. So it still works somewhat.

I tried the used parts but had no success. If somebody knows a likely salvage yard or where to look, please let me know.

Thanks,

The Classic Entegras used a two piece clearance light that are not sealed. I have no idea how these could have been used for outside lights, especially with 70 mph blowing rain while travling. (another reason not to drive in the rain. ) The light fixtures fill with water and have to be replaced.

Replacement lights are one piece, sonic welded, and do not leak. Correct installation is a must, or water follow the wires and leak inside of the coach. There have been occasions that the factory unsealed clearance lights were driven in rain long enough, they filled with water then ran down the wires of the clearance light, then leaked inside of the ceiling light inside of the coach.

I make a joke of not driving in heavy rain, but it is "Truth in Humor". I have experience most of them first hand until I realized that Entegra builds the worst boat of any I have owned.
