Coach 7 way connector issue
I have just figured out that the 7 way connector on my 2022 Aspire is not sending a the signal to light the right turn / brake light on my TOAD. When I first found the issue my first assumption was that the might be a problem with the wiring on the TOAD. I began my investigation by first checking the output on the coach. using a tester. The tester showed that the Right turn/brake is not receiving power. I expect that I may find that wire disconnected at the plug. If I find that wire connected at the plug, then what? I assume I will need to trace the wire back to the place where the power is supposed to come from. Before anyone askes:
- I tried the tester on the 7 way connector on my jeep and it shows everything working correctly.
- All the lights on the Coach are working correctly.
- All the other lights on the tester and on the TOAD work correctly. Just the right turn/brake is not lighting.
- Since every other light is working correctly my judgement is that the problem is not likely to be a grounding issue.
Is the lighting power for the 7 way connector routed through a set of relays? If so what is the likely place to find that relay set?

Did you check the fuse box by the batteries? Or maybe the fuse box up front.

FIRST, try what was suggested in the thread above. Use, carefully, a small blade screwdriver to separate the prongs on the male end of the connector.
Two minutes to accomplish and it COULD solve the problem.
Start the process with the simplest solution.
I, occasionally have a similar problem with turn signals.
Take care,
Stu

For reference: This has been the number one issue for me while traveling, one taillight, etc. stops working. Keeping both ends of the plug sprayed with lubricate is a big help. This is one time I do use WD40 as it dissipates water and the plug is sealed from accumulating dirt..Silicone is fine as well.

In my case the problem is defiantly the coach wiring. I have a tester that plugs into the coach 7 way plug. On the coach it shows no power when the right turn/brake light should be lit. In my view the simplest thing is to first check the fuse.

Agree if no power to the pins. What I posted was for single light problem when traveling. It's happened to me more than once

Ok got a look at the Fuse panel. All I did was look and Take photos, too d@#$)#*ed cold and fighting a 25mph wind trying to close the bay door on me. Anyway, it appears I need to look at the F21 fuse and possibly the R11 relay. I hope it is not the relay. That relay is listed as a "PCB Mounted Relay" which I assume means "Printed Circuit Board Mounted" Which would mean I would need to have a new board ordered and installed under warrantee.
Now I am trying to identify which 7.5 amp fuse I need to check. There are 4 of those fuses only two appear to be labeled. I think it is the fuse I circled in the image below.
Yep, that's the correct fuse. With the correct fuse identified I was able to bundle up, grab a pair of needle nose pliers reach into the fuse box, pull the fuse and get back inside before my hand got stuck to the pliers. The fuse is defiantly burned. Now on to the next worry, will I burn the replacement the next time I step on the brake with the TOAD attached?

No, actually this is from letting the plug get dry and pushing it in to where it closes the male pins together. Never had a light cord problem related to to the rain, but enough others. I'll have to post the story one of these days about receiving a free bottle of wine from TGIF's for not driving in the rain. Stayed in their lot for free too.

This sounds like TV. They get you interested in a story and then take a commercial break.
Got me thinking of all of the reasons they would give you a free bottle of wine. Waiting for the thread.

OK. off subject but..... We got off the freeway in pouring rain. At the bottom of the off ramp was a TGIF's. Asked, as we ate dinner, if we could say in the parking lot because of the rain. The manger was sent over, explain that was our large MH, and I don't drive in heavy rain. He complemented us on be so safety conscious, gave us permission to stay in the lot, and sent over a complimentary bottle of wine to thank us. The parking lot was dead because of the weather, nice and quite, the wine helped too, slept like a baby.
Another success story of not driving in heavy rain, and no bad step motor and wiring to fix either.
