Geico, but your mileage may vary. No two insurance quotes are the same, too many variables between your situation and mine. Different Rv, different drivers, different values, different state or locality, different coverage, deductibles, ad infinitum.

Just got my renewal notice from National General (been with them for two years). This years rate is more than double last years. Only claim in two years is a cracked windshield. Told that windshield was not the reason for the increase, but a rate "adjustment" for all California customers. Interesting, since my auto insurance from another carrier went down this year! This is not a rate increase it is price gouging. Will not be renewing with National General.

Well, I for one thought that my insurance rates were a product of my accident history, claim history, and whether any claim was an "at fault" claim. I know I had a pretty good claim this year induced by happening to be at the wrong place at the wrong time (a hail storm in South Dakota), but I thought that Acts of God claims where not penalized individually.

So, my assumption is that this 50% increase is a result of the whole national claims paid experience, and it is pretty clear to me that severe storms, hail storms, tornadoes and hurricanes appear to be more common than they used to be all across the country, which would predict that all of us better be ready to see some significant increases to maintain coverage on our coaches. I have not seen a big increase in my house insurance that reflects national weather problems, but maybe that is a little slower in kicking in gear.

I sure hate paying a lot more money for the same coverage, but you just can't go without it.

Gary

We are also paying for the cost of claims resulting from uninsured drivers, many of whom are also unlicensed. And that number keeps growing at a rapid rate.

Me too exactly. I said goodbye same excuses as mentioned above. I’m with State Farm as with my house and autos. My rates kept going up with the companies Overland wrote for, last one was with Safeco enough is enough. I told them it was BS my coach was older my experience was more.

FWIW, I was with Erie, about 2200/yr without FR coverage. Just switched to Progressive with FR coverage for 4k, no glass coverage. Full glass was another 1k

Gary

I made this post a year ago after all of the damaging hurricanes letting other know to expect increases http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/hurr...se-376978.html

This past season there were several posts just on this forum about hail damage. I wonder how many expensive MH's were destroyed in the CA fires? We are going see increases for a long time to cover those losses. All we can do is shop for the best coverage for our zip code for that year....and look for it to change the follow year. All of those are "Acts of God" that still have to be paid.

Last year it was fires, this year it is floods, next year who knows, maybe hurricanes or tornadoes. It's always something and that is why we pay for insurance.

Teaser rate is possible , but this is my 3rd year with Geico. The rate has not changed more than 1 to 2 %. I do not know what to say.
