Coach No A/C with Generator
Coach air-conditioning units not working from the generator. When plugged in they work when I start the generator & start to drive they don’t work, any suggestions?

When you start the generator, does it send power to the coach. Maybe the breaker on the top of the generator is tripped. Other possibility is a bad transfer switch. Need to look at the inverter display to see if you have 110 power when the generator is running and the land power is off. More information about your coach would be helpful in trouble shooting the problem.

Year of coach in a signature will sure help to explain where to look outside of the switch on the generator itself.

He has a 2018 Aspire.
Buck.... I think that I showed you how to do it (make a signature section). It might be little more difficult to do it on a phone or from their app.... piece of cake from a laptop computer. If you can't do it (adding the signature section), then you really need to include that information (year, model, manufacturer of whatever it is you are asking about) in each post that you make, if you are asking for guidance.
And the most likely reason that your ACs are not working is that the circuit breaker switch on the front top control panel on the Onan generator itself is turned off. When not connected to shore power and running the generator, does your dryer work? if it does not, then your Onan generator is not providing 120 VAC to the coach. If you have VegatTouch (I dont know if you do), then you should be able to see the input voltage that is being produced by the Onan....

Buck58,
Did you check the breaker at generator yet?

Agree with others. Check the breaker switch on the gennny itself.

Buck
Nothing ignorant about it..... It is something that we all learn because we have tried to figure it out 5 times over the past 5 years ourselves.
Here is my experience. The circuit breaker can get thrown by an electrical problen which is why it is right on the generator. Also, if I have ever had my coach worked on by a tech and they are doing anything that is even remotely "electrical", then you can bet all the money that you have that you will find that they have turned off that circuit breaker.... 100% of the time. What is strange is that while they routinely turn the circuit breaker off, it seems they NEVER remember to turn the circuit breaker back on when they are done working on the coach.... NEVER FAILS !!!!
Now, be sure to tell us all what you found was the problem when you get it resolved.... all of us learn from the problems and resolutions that other's post and answer.... be sure to post the solution.

Lots of times service people switch off the generator breakers, if working on them.
That way they can start them without worry of something being on that shouldn't be.
