Did you stop there to see the Neil Armstrong Museum? If you didn't...you should stop there before you leave!

Where the heck is "Wapakoneta"? I was born in Ohio and I've never heard of that one. Second question; Why there in a cold wave?

There is a very advanced confined space rope rescue training facility just north in Findlay that I attended years ago and ate at a little restaurant in Wapakoneta. Makes ya feel all warm and cozy when you are ad-mist with one of our little polar blasts eh ? Enjoy

9 degrees here this morning and coach sitting in driveway. A space heater in the basement and one in the coach with LP heat as a backup keeping it at a cozy 55 degrees. The good news the 30s next weekend is going to seem like a heat wave! The better news is DW has 24 more working days until retirement and we head SW

I've not turned the basement heat on yet...with outside temps at 22F the basement is running near 50 with just the AquaHot running. I'm measuring temps in the wetbay on the rear wall and one in the compartment right outside the front door of the rig. That AquaHot keeps it toasty down there.
We spent a night in Little Rock in the single digits in our last rig (2013 Tiffin 35 QBA) and had to run the furnace way up inside the rig to keep the wet bay warm. It's nice to have a separate heater down there if needed, but at 22F and still near 50 I don't know how cold it would have to get to need it!

Ok, a new low for us....11F outside. 51 in the front bays and 50 in the wetbay. Still no heat running in the basement.

This thread just confirms my earlier belief that basement heat is almost always not needed. More than enough heat escapes from the Aquahot burner while is it running to keep the basement warm. I can't imagine myself ever turning on the basement thermostat. The only time you might need to is in sub-zero (F) weather. Otherwise, it is just a waste of fuel.

27 degrees in Myrtle Beach. We are supposed to be in Fla next week but due to what was worse than expected surgery we will be here for a significant time. Had burners on and I think basement heat turned on and up (tough to see due to surgery). Woke up about 3 AM was like a sauna in coach. At 6AM had no water. I am sure campground water was frozen. Bays seemed warm. What else can I do since we will probably get more cold nights due to our delayed travel? On the basement heat I had the top switch on thermostat to left on temp slid 1/2 way.
