connecting up our satellite dish

On my 37 ft Riatta I tried to connect up our satellite system to the TV's. There is RG6 coax connection to the TV distribution system was there. All I needed to do was connect the cable to the entertainment center. However my entertainment center did not have a female RG6 connection point; but instead HDMI connections are there. Has anybody else have this problem. I am an electrical engineer and have worked with coaxial cables. I have never seen a cable with an RG6 coax on one end and an HDMI connector on the other end. can somebody help me out with a solution

If I am understanding the questions correctly, but,not seeing a photo of your entertainment center. The sat coax goes to the "sat in" on the back of the receiver receiver, then an HDMI cable from "sat out" on the receiver goes to the entertainment center junction box.

Bro box has it correct. Just to help in clarification of his point the coax cable goes into your satellite providers receiver box. The satellite box will have an HDMI out receptacle that will allow you to run a HDMI cable from the receiver to your entertainment center or TV

Joema62 We too have a Reatta 37K and had problems with the satellite hookup. Our issue was with the Matrix (electronic switch). When we looked at the TV Sources we found TV and Sony identified. The Sony is the DVD player, BUT that sane HDMI TV input came from the Matrix. The satellite box should have a HDMI out to one of the HDMI connections on the back of the Matrix. The front of the Matrix should show four (4) devices (Main TV, Bedroom TV, Outside TV, Aux/DVD). Each have 4 lights indicating the four inputs on the back. The matrix lights will illuminate, when selected and there is an input connected on the back. As far as the strands connections coax/Cat 6/HDMI RVs use that for longer lines with less loss and cheaper using Cat 6.
