Continental Tires

Does anyone have any experience with Continental tires on big coaches? Have a 15 CS bought new in 7/15. Has 50k miles. Changed the steer tires to Michelins January 2021, but have not changed rear.

Planning on changing drive and tag tires 315x80 R 22.5. Michelins XZA Energy through FMCA are now more expensive than the 365x70’s I replaced about a year ago. FMCA now also has Continental. Checked them out and they were significantly less than Michelin. They have been around a long time but I have had no experience with them and was curious if anyone else has. Continentals are about $400 per tire less, or $2,400 less!

I put 6 Contis on my Ventana 2 years ago and very happy. My sizes were a little different... mine were their 275/70R 22.5 HSR2 but price difference similar.
The FMCA process was smooth and easy. Better than what I have read about the Michelin process.
My local Conti dealer only had 4 in stock / avail at the time but I picked up 2 from another dealer and delivered them when I took MH in for the change. The dealer indicated they sell a lot of those for trucks.
I added Centramatics at the same time and happy with them as well.

I'd have no problem with putting Continental tires in my coach.

I have the 275/80/22.5 H rated HSR2 tires on my coach. Exact same load rating as the Michelin's that I replaced. I feel that they run a tad stiffer, but that's a tough call. With over 25K on the tires, they have been a solid tire. I think they have performed just fine in heavy rain events also. The one thing that surprised me with these Continental's is I never have to fiddle with the tire pressures except for the big temp swings, they seem to hold air forever. Unlike my Michelins, which seemed to need adjusting every two or three months. I would not hesitate to use them again.

A previous forum member put Continentals on his 17 Anthem through the FMCA program, he was very pleased with them. Talked to him the other day and he made no mention of having any problems with them and he has criss crossed the country a couple of time since installing them. We talked after his first trip and he was pleased with the way they rode.

Conti's are a good tire. We ran a lot of them on semis.

We put 6 Continental HSR2's on ours in 2019. Like them a lot so far. They replaced 5 year old Michelins with weathering cracks that would not pass a safety inspection. They seem to ride about the same as the Michelins to me.
