Cornerstone, 2020
Have questions DW ask, Is better to run refrigerator all time or shut off when not using it. Noticed frig won’t run on house batteries on 2020, is this correct, 2014 would run on house batteries. Had white powder came out of dash ac vents. 1 Cargo door won’t open. Key won’t open it. Ron

Ron
To begin with, we need to know what year and model coach are you talking about?

Gary, the title says Cornerstone 2020
Ron, why do you think the frig won’t run on house batteries? That is a major purpose for the house batteries so if it is not running there is something wrong. Is the inverter turned on?
Whether to leave the refrigerator running depends on a few factors, major one being if you are connected to power. Another factor is how hot the coach gets. If you don’t run the AC and coach inside gets over 100 that is not good for fridge. Something else to consider is turning off the inverter so that a loss of power does not drain house batteries. Most important is how long it won’t be used. For short periods and connected to power, ok to leave fridge on and monitor for power loss. For long periods, shut it off and prop doors open.

The fridge runs on shore and gen, shut either and fridge goes off. The cargo door at inverters is locked, panel won’t unlock and key won’t turn to unlock door. Keep coach in garage leave shore on continuous. First trip out and found these problems.

I agree with others that your fridge should work regardless of power source. The way you're describing it is that it will not run while travelling down the road since you're not connected to shore power, and not running the genny (unless it's hot enough that you are running the roof air). Concering the cargo door at the inverters, that's a problem as well. Have you tried the unlock button at the door stairwell? The only basement doors not unlocked by the unlock button is the chassis battery bay and the DS front electrical bay under the driver.

The step panel opens all doors except the one at the inverters.

Sorry to hear that... since your door will not open with the key or remotely, it sounds like you may have a physical lock problem. I don't know if this will apply to you, but there was a problem in the past where a basement door nut on a lock screw was coming loose and causing the lock to malfunction. Since you can't get the door opened, you will not be able to confirm if this is your problem unless you can get to the back of the lock through one of the neighboring bays, but if you're interested, here's the thread: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/anot...ed-442706.html

You have a problem with your one basement door that needs to be figured out. That is probably not a big deal. I had one on my 19 that just was not adjusted right and I had to force it open. Happened to be going to NIRVC where I bought the coach and asked them to adjust and that resolved the door problem. Think its a fairly minor process to adjust but did not do it myself so cant advise. Now, if you want to get to get to the inverters, you can get to them from the other side of the coach... remove everything on that slide tray and crawl in from the other side and you will be directly under the inverters.
On the refrig.... there is clearly a problem and the problem is probably that your inverters are turned off. Inverters should power virtually every wall outlet in your coach and so use anything that takes 120 VAC power, turn power off at the pole, and go around the coach and test duplex receptacles. My guess is that all of them have no power which means that neither of your inverters are running.
Your inverters can be turned on and off via the vegatouch. Go to the vegatouch and go to the left most panel/screen (the house icon on mine). Press and that brings up a screen that has an inverter button. The inverter button will be on or off and it should be illuminated if its "on". Is it? If the button is lighted, then gently press and hold the inverter button and it will take you to a new screen that shows what both of your inverters are doing. It will show what voltage is coming into each inverter (should be approximately 120 VAC) and what voltage and frequency the inverter is "seeing" on the input. On mine, to the right are four potentially green box shaped buttons which show you inverter status..... is each on or off?and what each inverter is doing if it is on (its "charging", its "floating", Its "off". Maybe both of your inverters are not turned on in this screen. If the inverters are on, the boxes should be green. If off, they will be red. If they are off, press the top boxes for each to turn them on. What are you seeing?
Now, as others have read a hundred times.... if all of the above appears good and you know that they are on but you are not getting power to refrig or receptacles, then maybe they have both tripped for some reason and that is when you need to crawl in and find the inverters and there are two very small, unobtrusive button on the side of each inverter box. Its easy to not see them. The buttons are virtually flush with the case of the inverters, and they are located on the side of the inverter closest to the main support rails of the chassis. Push both of them and see if that changes the situation. Do it for both. However, if those are tripped, then I would be worried about why they are tripped.
Finally, if all of that doesnt help, be sure that you have rebooted the 12 volt system with the salesman switch by the entry door. Turn it off and leave off for 30 seconds and then turn on..... your whole problem may be due to the vegatouch software needing to be reloaded and rebooted.. the 12 volt shut off and back on will force it to reboot. Go to the vegatouch panel as soon as you turn the salesman switch back on and watch the vegatouch panel. You should just watch it fully reboot/reload. Dont push anything on the vegatouch panel until it is full booted (you see the main screen and the buttons all are active.
Tell us what you find.
Gary
