Cornerstone 45K purchase

And the adventure begins 😀 Went to RV One in Orlando yesterday & finally got to see the Cornerstone 45. I have read about it, seen pictures, and videos, however nothing can compare to seeing her in person. It was love at first sight💝. I was serviced by a sales specialist named Eric Hodes. Impressed I was with his care & knowledge of the Entegra product line. His energetic info session & tour of the Cornerstone was informative but most he answered all questions. The quality & workmanship was nice, Entegra and all I have read didn't dissapoint. The utilization of space was apparent & the forward cab impressive. The workmanship impeccable, the wood beautiful, amenities classy but not Gawdee. But how does it handle & drive? At around 5pm we went into negotiations, 2 hours later we came to an agreement based upon a test drive. I put down a deposit to show good faith and then Eric who had originally only had an anthem to test drive, I wasn't too upset but disappointed but realized if the anthem drove & handled better than my a Tiffin Phaeton then the Cornerstone should supersede. Then the good news Eric told me he has a cornerstone I can test drive if I came back at 1 PM the next day. So we met the next day with the agreement if I'd like to test drive Iwould put down a second deposit. My heart was racing I couldn't sleep that night, I couldn't wait to show up to the dealership the next day. I arrived a little late approximately 1:30 PM and Eric had stepped out for a few minutes to get some things but he had the cornerstone Parked at front where me and my family were able to go on board and just take our time and look around. Eric finally showed and he showed me around the RV explained things to me which I'm sure could've waited but he took the time to show me everything that the cornerstone had to offer and wow I was absolutely drooling. And came the time that Eric took it out of the dealership drove about a block and turned it over to me we took a nice long ride to I4 down to Sanford around to a mall where I was able to do U-turns and try out the suspension and have the total feel of what the cornerstone felt like. Then we took a drive on the back road which were bumpy and I really wanted to know how the cornerstone handle bumps and it did not disappoint. This cornerstone handled easier than my car a BMW 550 It drives steady and smooth and took turns that I would never been able to do in the Tiffin. As I handed the Cornerstone back to Kevin before we got back to the dealership I looked at him and I said you do want that extra deposit don't you. My cornerstone 45K Is now ordered, she's do for delivery hopefully around the beginning of February sometime. 👍 can't wait keep y'all posted.

Congrats Gary & family. You made a good decision to buy your "last" coach first.

Thanks for sharing your first date with Entegra.

I am excited for you and your family.

Looking forward to hearing about your delivery and first few weeks together with your new Cornerstone.

You have definitely found the right place to exchange Entegra information.

Curt

Congratulations!

When it comes time for delivery and your PDI, feel free to contact me and I will let you know what problems cropped up in my first 2 months of ownership. I have not had any major issues, mostly just small things which I have fixed myself. I don't think there are many significant systemic issues, but there probably are some things I would double check before delivery.

My previous coach was a 2011 Newmar Ventana, 40 ft with a single rear axle, 350 Cummins rear-radiator.

This coach has much higher quality components in general, drives much better and has unbelievable power. Having the extra power to actually accelerate and maintain speed on hills really makes it fun to drive (and a lot easier). The K3 chassis is great, I do not miss the much vaunted comfort drive of the Newmar at all.

I work 7-on and 7-off. While working I live in my coach and can tell you that it has been a significant upgrade for me comfort-wise. I feel like a rock-star.

Not my first

Just for edification my first motorcoach was a Tiffin Phaeton 40 QBH. I've had her for three years and I must say for the first RV it was perfect. She gave me the experience to want to go out and purchase a rig like Entegra cornerstone. When I sat behind the wheel to drive the cornerstone on the test drive it was a lot easier having experienced driving a class A before. I've been eyeing the Entegra product line for the last year year and a half. Thank you for all the congratulations and feedback I look forward to hearing from everybody else.

I would be interested in that information. We take delivery of our 2015 Cornerstone 44B next week.
