It is the one and only. It is a prototype and has several things that will be different from production. Is that a good thing? No, but that is why it is so cheap. You would have to see it, to know if it is a big deal or not. But rest assured for that money, it won’t be around long!

I have been keeping an eye out to upgrade . Not sure it is worth the money difference for 2018 and it may be harder decision as I also like the London Aire. I was told they built a few of the 2017 45X but cannot confirm this.

I haven’t seen it but I had the one and only 2017 45Y prototype and it was and is significantly different than the production version. Many of the differences are subtle and some vary in the layout.
Look on the Entegra website at the pictures of the cashmere 45Y interior. You will notice that the picture has a “desk” next to the fireplace. That is not in the production version of the 45Y. They added a pantry on the side of the refrigerator instead.
Prototypes are for the company to experiment with layout, some are good, some are bad. You would just have to look and see if you can live with it.

The problem I have is I am getting surgery on my shoulder to fix a rotator cuff and cannot flight down and see it. They did have a video on Facebook on this model. We ordered in a 2014 Cornerstone and got one of the last 2013 models with 2014 badge. Now we are looking at this 2017 which has the model of 2018. Go figure. I think you have to not only like the colours but also the single bath. The bathroom has the same layout as our 2008 Monaco which was fine. I did talk to TJ at NIRVC and he says he likes the layout and says the fit and finish is as good as any other Cornerstone coming off the lot.The dilemma for us is do we wait and pass this by so that we can see one in person or go by the pictures and videos of the unit.

As far as I can remember, the differences between the prototype and the production ('18s) are : The decor is frillier in the '17. Ours is plainer. The rounded cabinet (end table) is larger and the overhead cabinet does not match the curve of the end table. The vanity by the shower has lower a cabinet while ours has drawers. The '17 is built on the '17 chassis and has the '17 engine (can you live without the extra 5 HP?) There may be differences in the Audio Visual system and Vega Touch, but I don't know for sure. I'd make sure that they match the '18.
Yes, its one of a kind, but if you like the Champagne exterior it sounds like a good deal. If they posted $399K they may move lower. While you're shopping, step into an '18 to compare.

Thanks for your post. I drove to the closest Entegra dealership and the only thing they had was a 2017 Anthem 44B I think. I noticed that the roof in the bedroom has less wood then in the 2018 I think. If I was getting a 2018, I would have a lot more time to look around, but I don't have much time to make a decision on this coach as I am going in for surgery and will not be able to travel for a month or so. I have been kind of looking since March, but didn't find as good a deal as now.

Deposit on 45x
Someone put a deposit on the 2017 45X today, I was talking to NIRVC in Atlanta, assuming their financing goes through.... it is a moot point, knew it would not last long.

Thanks for the photos and I see why you are not happy with that “desk”. It looks like it was designed by the same guy who decided to put the subwoofer for the living room under the bed! I’m glad that Entegra is going to fix it so it meets your needs.
