Cornerstone

So I have always liked the look of the newer Entegra with the modernized front and rear caps and I think I’d really like to move to a Cornerstone with the bigger motor. I have given serious thought to searching for a first or second year of the design change if I could find a true cream puff garaged low mileage coach with fully documented service history with the floor plan essentially the same as my RBQ. I have the budget for the move but….we are on a two week stay on the Florida east coast and as I sit out in front of my nine year old coach I tell myself…

I may have my 2012 Aspire RBQ finally fully sorted after 3 years of ownership….

- All 3 roof AC units work fine
- All of my powered shades (4) go up and down as they should
- AC condensation drains flow as they should
- Dash AC blows cold
- Generator runs fine
- Slides extend and retract as they should
- No AC/DC power anomalies
- No central control issues (does not have one)
- New Splendide washer works as it should
- Dryer dries as it should
- New memory foam mattress is more comfortable than the Sleep Number ever was
- Roof vents deploy and retract as they should
- TV reception works fine on both antenna and cable
- Antenna extends, rotates and retracts as it should
- Power hose reel works fine
- Power cord reel works fine
- Coach levels fine at the campsite
- Levelers retract as they should
- Coach airs up fine
- Engine runs fine - No check engine light
- Propane AquaHot produces hot water as it should
- I like the gas cooktop
- Patio awning extends and retracts as it should
- All exterior lights check fine
- Maytag fridge works fine and ice maker cranks out the cubes as it should
- Fresh water pump works as it should
- Black and gray tank monitors appear to be accurate and drain without issue
- Rear bath macerator toilet behaves
- Half bath toilet is a non-issue as always
- Blue Ox tow bar works as it should
- No DEF issue
- No radiator leak
- Toyo tires all ride fine and wear looks normal 3 years in

With all of that I think I’ll just hang onto this nine year old 40,000 mile classic for a while longer. I’ll be the guy in the right lane towing a Tahoe behind the semis.

Amen! She’s a beauty. If you do trade her, the next owner’s will be lucky to have her!

With all the emissions problems, def head failures, and failures of the x15 motor itself, I’d stick with what you got.

Never heard of "feilures of the X-15 engine itself". I run one in a 2018 Cornerstone as good as it can be. I know the DEF issues.

Is there anything with X-15 I am missing?

PS: Heard of the ISX issues on the late 90s.

Do what works for you. We love our rig, and will deal with things as they come up. We all know things will happen. The DEF issue is a PIA for sure, but eventually this to shall pass. Engine has been rock solid and pulls like a champ. We run in western areas of VA/ WV/ NC/ SC/ GA and TN and love the performance in the hills.

You have a great rig, have it dialed in, and are happy. You will know when you are ready (if ever) to change out.

cheers
