I had a good experience figuring this out so I thought I would share. I was looking for the red MCD shade motor part number 50.337 - it's replaced by 50.338 apparently. The new motor is white. I found it through Integrity RV Parts in Michigan:

REALLY helpful guys there and I had it delivered the day after I ordered it. I'm pretty sure their pricing is the best around. Good luck!

They are the Black diamond “white color motors” go figure. A friend ordered six of them that we’re replacing on his 2015 Cornerstone. The new motors work fine, but you have to drill holes in the end bracket for the motor to mount. Old red motor has a bar that fits in a slot to hold it, new motor has 4 nipples that have to have holes drilled for them. I made a template out of stiff cardboard to get the hole spacing correct. Not hard, but the spacing has to be correct.
I think he gave $106 dollars apiece for his.

If I had to replace shade motors in a pre 2019 coach (whatever year the MCD motors became the standard OEM motors), I would not waste my money replacing any yellow or red motors. Although the red were better than the yellow (which were garbage), the red motors also failed at an alarming rate also. Although the MCD motors (Black Pearl Motor which is while in color) and strong, high quality motors with very low failure rates. JMO but the red and yellow motors are not worth purchasing.

My 2017 has red motors and fail pretty regularly. I think I've done four or five in the last year. There was a guy on eBay selling the "black pearls" (which are white) for 3 for $150. That source has apparently dried up.

The ones in the back of the coach are a hassle, but not that tough. The cockpit ones though--those are a PITA to replace. I'm dreading having to do the driver's side---with the steering wheel in the way, ugh....

Someone a few months ago passed on a tip that you can sometimes reprogram them and get a little more life out of them. That does seem to help for a while...

Good tip on the identification, by the way...

Replacement for 50.335 & 50.337

FYI - 50.335 & 50.337 MCD gave me the replacement part for the windshield as 50.338. Newmar's number 019115 has them for $92.95. When I ordered the remote controlled motor for the side windows before this included shipping. The info link will provide the instructions from MCD.

Search for 019115 or MCD

The Somfy shade motor is the best in the business, it is not cheap but does come with a 5 year warranty. This motor is the Gold standard in shade motors in the industry. The RV industry is a drop in the bucket for shade motors and the average coach manufacturer would rather not install a $150.00 motor compared to a $27.00 motor. That being said, I continue to use the red motors in my unit. I have put quick disconnects on the ones that I have replaced. But, that is just mine preference. And that is a what this boils down to, personal preference of whether or not you want to be bothered replacing the motors or not.

If you can change the motors yourself you could go through 5 of the cheap ones before you hit the cost of the Somfy.

I also agree if the shade stops working, try reprograming it first before getting a new one. I have also been told if your coach has some 12v problems the shade can loose it's programing.

Two years ago I met someone who had sold his RV and retired from RVing. He had 3 red motors he didn't need or want, so he sold them to me for $50 for the lot.

Probably since I now have replacements, I haven't needed any yet.
