Cottonwood in A/C
Apologies in advance if this is a well-known problem:
We've been at a CO campground a week, and, due to the dust, today I cleaned the A/C return filters, and thought I'd blow off the roof.
Once on the roof, I was surprised to find the #1 & #3 A/C fins ~60% covered with a thick layer of "cotton" from the numerous cottonwood trees in the area (I read such cotton can be airborne for up to 5 miles).
Very easy to clean, but could have potentially been a real mess if I hadn't caught it when I did. If you're in an area plagued by the cottony stuff, you might check out your units.
[I walked around the park and looked at a few R/Vs that had been there a while, and they were also covered. I made a suggestion to the hosts they might warn campers when they sign in...] Thanks,
BG
