Thanks MuggsnMe. I’ll go ahead and get this done as well just to make sure.

Don't rush out to schedule your recall repair. Cummins sent out the recall, but they have no parts in inventory. Of course I learned this AFTER I dropped my coach off at a local cummins repair facility.

That’s odd, I don’t understand this.
I stopped by my local Cummins dealer, showed them the recall notice & they ordered the parts & the special tool needed to do the job & within 2 days they called me to set up the appointment. I was the 2nd one they did on the recall.

Well dummy me did not notice the specifics only to find out my X15 motor is not affected.

Bruce, did you receive a recall notice on yours? We have the same era chassis and I have not received it. Also, Cummins checked while there for my DEF head replacement and said there were no campaigns on my engine.

Just saw your other post that you found out it does not apply to the Cornerstone engines.

I received a general safety recall notice, but it must have been mailed to me because I previously owned a Anthem? It does say X12 engines. I missed that

Sorry for the misinformation. Coincidentally, I also recieved a spartan "notice" (not a safety recall) about torque specs on the rear suspension. So while they have the coach they will perform that service.

I am saving up the recalls, TSB and leaking axle seal for my next DEF head failure to get them all done at one. I have had more "notices" on the 21 than the last two coaches combined.

Now THAT's strategic planning

My local chassis shop performed the suspension recall today. Apparently all eight axle bolts were loose and needed to be re-torqued.

Just an FYI.

I plan on going to FL Spring and Axle for the bolts recall and the leaking axle. I'll have the front shock mounts checked at the same time. Just waiting to see if there are anymore Spartan problems.
