Current Insurance quotes on my 2014 Anthem
Some are shopping for insurance on our units lately and a lot of us waiting for delivery. I thought I would share the quotes I have had if it will help others. I do live in a Hurricane Zone so my quotes are probably higher than those in the mid west.
It is amazing how these quotes are all over the board and some from the same companies but different agencies. The quotes were based on full replacement cost for the first 5 years, $1000. deductible, $250/500 liability and inside secured storage.
Most of these quotes were from Independent Agencies and will be noted with an (I) behind the Company name.
Progressive (I) $2,289.
Good Sams on 11/13 $1666.
Good Sams on 1/14 $1,590
AARP Hartford did not bother getting back to me with a quote
Allied (I) $1,879
Ron Jarvis (I) Overland $1,526.
Allied (I) different agent $1445.
Blue Sky (I) same agent as above $2,200.
Allied is a division of Nationwide and so far has had the best quotes for my area.

Texas auto insurance used to be reported as 29% higher than the rest of the nation. Looks like RV insurance follows suite.
Or maybe I'm a deadbeat and didn't know it? ;-)
I do have 3 points on my license for another 6-7 months which does have an effect.

Just got some details from an independent agent, my accident almost 3 years ago impacts the rate as does hooking my open hatch on my garage door last summer!

Thank you very much for posting that Chuck. You did a lot of great legwork and it is kind of you to share it with us. That information will save me a lot of effort when my renewal comes due in March.

You might want to consider getting a quote from National Casualty Company. They have been good to us, have replacement value coverage and a diminishing deductible. PM me if you want contact info on our agent.

I found out my "accidents" increased my premiums by about $300.

Glad it is helping others and thank you for the compliment. Shopping insurance with several Independent Agents has opened my eyes to how much quotes can vary from the same companies. It has also helped pass the dreaded wait time waiting for delivery

Please do PM the agents info and I will be more than happy to call them and add their quote to the list.

One of the agents I am working with confirmed that Texas insurance rates are "at least 35% higher" than the rest of the nation. They are from Texas and currently in California. I don't know how many companies they represent.
Add that to my documented hazard to traffic and my insurance is outrageous!

QUOTE UPDATE:
From Blue Sky web site quote $1,986 vs an Independent Agent in Tampa of $2,200.
Again more variance from the same company different agents.

I have had very good results from Ron Jarvie. Have recommended him to several others and they would up going with him as well. He really knows the RV insurance business and has good pricing.

Guys, please read the list....AARP and Ron Jarvie of Overland are both listed as quoted.
This is not a post of "my agent is better than yours" just the quotes of the major carries that I have called as suggested from posts compiled from IRV2 for a new Entegra Anthem. I realize some carriers do not want to insure a high priced MH in a Hurricane Zone and have given higher quotes than what others pay.
I did spend a lot of time researching "Insurance" posts on IRV2 hoping to cover the major RV insurance carriers.
Take the list for what it is worth for your needs.
