NowGo,

I just read your post about ShadePro making custom fit carpet for the front of Entegras. I need to replace the the carpet in my 2015 Aspire and thought this would be a great solution. Called them today and the customer service rep told me they don't make carpet for the front. Said they might have done it at one of the shows. From your comments it sounded like they could make one if they had already done a similar coach and had the pattern.

Not sure what is going on. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

We found the ShadePro bunch at a booth at the Arizona market in Yuma. The ShadePro group was actually out of California. I am away from the coach now or I could have given you a name. However, if you reach out to them in CA (even if you have already) and ask for the name of the principal person that is set up in Yuma at the Arizona Market I am certain you will have success. I did learn that the head guy lives in the Foothills area in Yuma. In reading your post I am assuming that the "franchise" or at least group that I dealt with in Yuma has started this initiative on their own.

Everything they told us before we bought was accurate... no deposit required, tech shows up no charge, carpet ready in 3-4 days, Guaranteed to be a PERFECT fit, etc. They also told us this was a new initiative only 6 months old, that they had been to a Tiffin show and one other show (I can't remember which)

IMO these guys are genius's in coming up with this concept. Rest assured they have a pattern for your coach (assuming it is the same as a 2014 Anthem which I think it is) and I am confident they would be happy to ship one to you. You may have run into a call person that is not fully informed.

I also think it likely that these guys will be at the show in Quartzsite.

IMO we are likely on the cusp of some substantial price increases by them as this product gets traction.

Don't give up, you'll be glad you didn't!

Called ShadePro today and they wouldn't give me the name of the guy in Yuma. Told me they only do the custom carpet when they are at a show. Kind of disappointing. She did say she would talk to the production department to see what they would do and get back to me but I don't have high hopes they will be able to do anything for me.

Maybe if enough people call asking for new carpet they will figure out how to make it available.

Well, that is more than disappointing. IMO a very bad business model on ShadePro's part.

My guess (and it is only a guess) is that this carpet initiative has been launched separately by the Yuma group, and the folks you are contacting are somewhat jealous.

My wide and I got tired of looking at the beaten down short pile entry carpet that came with the coach, and we tired of trying to get a solution by going to carpet shops.

I am away from the coach and way from Yuma right now, and I don't get back there until the beginning of February. But, I would be more than happy to go to the Arizona market in Yuma and speak with the ShadePro principal there to get you set up with them if you would like to wait that long.

Another option would be if anyone else on this forum is in Yuma now and could go to the big Arizona market and go to the Shadepro booth there to speak with them.

I would also be surprised if the Yuma ShadePro bunch aren't set up at the Quartzsite show in January, but I can't be sure about that. Also, maybe the "jealous" bunch will be there instead. Maybe someone on this forum could speak with the ShadePro group at Quartzsite and get this going for you.

I am sorry this hasn't worked out for you so far. My wife and I are so tickled with this new carpet and I don't want to see you miss out.

Up to you if you would like to wait Alan.

Hi Alan,

I believe I finally have the information you need.

First off I am hopeful that others on this forum can advise as to which Entegra models this entrance carpet package will fit. I have a 2014 Anthem, and I will provide the Yuma ShadePro pattern number below. I am thinking it will fit a lot of different Entegras, but I am not familiar enough with the different models to advise on that.

Sorry for the long read, but I believe the information below will be useful to you:

On my first visit back to the ShadePro booth at the Arizona market I encountered two representatives there. I explained the situation, only to have a rep there tell me that they had no such available patterns, and that ALL applications required that they send out their guy to measure. I argued with him until I finally convinced him that he might be wrong.

His change of opinion came when I asked him “where is the guy that lives in Foothills, he is the guy that told me that you guys had patterns for all Tiffins, and that upon measuring our coach they would then have their first Entegra pattern?”. The rep said “that is Steve, he is the owner”. He promised he would talk with Steve the next day, to ask Steve about what I was saying.

A couple of days later I visited the booth again a second time. To my surprise they now had a computerized listing of the patterns they have. The photo associated with the pattern linked to our coach was complete with a couple of photos of our coach. I verified that the pictures matched our coach.

I asked for the pattern number, and after helping them locate the pattern in their own system I got the number (listed below). Next I was told you could contact Bess Rodgers at 619-971-7027. Bess said she would contact the head office of ShadePro to order the carpet package. I told her that would be a non-starter, as ShadePro CA denies any such package is available. She then said she would reach out directly to Steve to get the order processed. I informed her that should you order one you would need the package shipped to you, and she said that would not be a problem.

In short it appears Steve has initiated this whole process on his own, and apart from ShadePro’s head office. Apparently Steve is quite innovative, and does this type of arbitrary initiative from time to time.

Bess assured me that now that they know what we are talking about she would ensure that any carpet orders for this pattern would be handled.

However, I have dug up Steve’s card from my first visit to the ShadePro booth in Yuma, where we ordered the carpet package. Steve’s coordinates are as follows: Steve Smoot Ph: 619-660-7400 email:ssmoot@shadepro.net. as you have learned, calling the 1800 CA number is a total waste of time. Again, Steve is the owner.

My recommendation would be to call Bess first (after all the discussion I had with them they should for sure know what you are after). However, if it seems they are stumbling I would not hesitate to reach out to Steve Smoot directly. When I dealt with him he seemed great to work with.

The pattern number for the package (includes step carpets) for our 2014 Entegra Anthem is C0045

I hope this helps Alan. Seems to me that Steve is sitting on a gold mine here, I was so surprised to learn his people were so much in the dark.

I have to repeat how pleased we are with the fit and look of our package, we are tickled pink with it.

Apparently, there is enough variation between unites, yes even two "identical" models will have enough variation that a carpet made to fit one coach might not fit a sister unit with the same floor plan that rolled off the assembly line just before or after.

Very interesting and contradictory to what the ottiginal owner told me.

Would be interesting to see what the actual owner that started this pricess says. He just finished uploading the patterns to their computer system in Yuma.
