There is a small hole in the outer skylight dome which I patched with clear Gorilla tape. I will get to that eventually.

Our sticks & bricks house lost a skylight and sustained some roof damage.
Bob, every Entegra I've owned had a small hole in the outer dome of the skylight. You may have another hole, but if it's only a small round hole it's suppose to be there. Noel

I bought my rig there too, and have bought some parts through them, and their prices were very good. Service appt. nearly impossible - I know you will replace the glass yourself (especially after the slide fix)

I'd rather save money up front and self-insure. Use insurance for catastrophic stuff. I had the same approach with health insurance until the government told me that wasn't good enough - now I pay a grand a month. I don't want to pay for insurance for a Speedco visit. This is essentially a Speedco visit price wise.

That's not a tough job. I've already done a couple. 20-30 minutes tops...if I take my time...and drink beer.

Just got off the phone with the vendor Hehr,to replace two crank-out windows. One was fogged the other was coming apart so that glass was not attached to frame. Entegra gave me the Entegra part # and a diagram and a cost. Hehr was then able to find their part number. My cost at vendor was about 25% of Entegra's.

Could you post the phone number you used for Hehr? It's a big company with many offices & factories. Many of the folks I spoke with had no clue.

Did you deal with one of the window plants, or the Pamona, Ca glass office?

I am getting the large side glass vent for around $240 from MHSRV. Entegra was well north of $500.

Shocking - 2 days after calling MHSRV and ordering the replacement window, it arrives in west TX, drop shipped from Middlebury.
