Someone is sneaking in there and taking a pee!

Like when I visit friends RV's I drop a couple screws in the rig sort of out of sight. Drives them crazy wondering where it fell out of!

You didn’t mention if you have an on board water softener but if you do, easy to add rust out inhibitor when you recharge. Usually flush twice on our rear bath toilette just to be sure the line is flushed.

Yellow water in RV toilet

I know exactly what you have been experiencing. I too have this issue. 2020 model RV, No problem for 8 months of camping, Left stored most of 2021, Now in 2022 I am seeing yellow and sometimes brown/black water in the bowl after 10 -20 minutes. The black tank is directly below the toilet and that level never gets with in 12 inches of the flush valve. I have poured in a cap full of liquid tank digester and it still results in discolored water. I drink and wash with the supply water so not coming from that source. The only item in contact with the pool of water in the toilet bowl is plastic bowl itself, the flush valve (also plastic) and the black rubber seal. I'm thinking it might be the digester chemical reacting with the rubber seal. Have you solved this issue in your RV? If so what did you do?

Hi - I think you will find that using more water when flushing will take care of your issue. The line to the macerator and the macerator itself can, if not flushed with enough water, have some uncleared remains. Especially if the line to the tank doesn't have enough slope. Try flushing several times to clear the line thoroughly and then let it sit to see if it happens after that. If it is clear then the issue is not enough flush water. If that doesn't solve the issue short term then the line to the tank has insufficient slope.

I have the same thing from time to time in the 1/2 bath of our 2020. The video posted earlier shows the answer. You’ll notice on the discharge from the macerator which goes up there’s a check valve before the line turns 180 degrees and heads down. If that check valve doesn’t seal completely a small amount of black water from the discharge will leak back into the bowl. Usually a second flush when this happens takes care of the problem so I haven’t bothered messing with it.
