Dash A/C Switch
I thought I may have a low Freon issue in my ‘18 Cornerstone but the more I read the more I think it is a switch problem.
The system blows air, everything seems to work except engaging the compressor. The green light on the control panel turns green as long as I hold the button down, when I let go the light goes out. I thought it was because the compressor wasn’t engaging but now I am leaning toward a bad switch. All fuses have been checked. Today I will check to see if the compressor engages while the switch is held down.
Has anyone replaced the switch or does the entire panel have to be replaced?

It's likely you are low on Freon, I believe low or no Freon will not allow the compressor to engage. I've replaced the switch for another reason, it would not stay down. Have you checked for power to the compressor when the switch is engaged? Just my 2 cents worth of experience

Those button switches are notorious for failure. You may be low on refrigerant as well, but I'd replace the switch before going any further. And no, I don't believe you have to replace the entire panel.

Correct, low freon will not allow the compressor to engage but will it also keep the switch from remaining on?
Im brining the coach home in a couple hours and will test power at the compressor while my wife holds the switch down.
Thanks for the replies.

Appears it’s the switch, not refrigerant. The compressor stays on as long as the button is held down.
Hopefully one of the dealers in Boise will have the switch.

Just replaced the green AC button for the second time in my 2016 Anthem...bought an extra switch in anticipation of the next failure.
Part number for my 2016 coach for the AC button is #0270549...$51.45.
Part number for my 2016 coach for the air recirc button is #0273630...$16.35.
Replacement on 2016 coach was very easy...less than 10 minutes.
The Parts Department at NIRVC in Surprise, Arizona keeps both of these switches in stock...clearly based on demand!!! Ask for Gregg.

Glad you found the problem. It's a common items, can you get one before you leave TX?
