Dash Air

Any one know how to change the blower on the dash air/heater? Can you do it from the fire wall generator side or does the dash have to be tore apart?

I believe you need to do it from the inside. If you pull the drawer out you can see the blower. The lower part of the dash on the passenger side should come off for better access.

The Classics had a run of bad blower motors. Here are several post with some tips to tackle the project. Jenne is correct, it can be removed by removing the console drawer https://www.google.com/search?q=Ente...earch=irv2.com

You have to do it from the inside. NIRVC can help with this repair if needed.

I was looking for something else and came across this file. It should help with the blower motor replacement if you decide to do it yourself.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf BLOWER MOTOR ACCESS (1).pdf (399.1 KB, 24 views)

I have 15 Aspire & had a loud noise, some times, in the front end. The factory never did anything for me. We have put up with it for years. They send me a brand new blower motor which I never took it out of the box. Found out from P.G. That some one didn’t silicone the air box under the dash & the wind causes it to make a noise. After all these years something simple.

I wish mine was that simple, it is the motor, just started after 6 years, and starts after about 30 minutes use. I have the old motor out waiting on new unit then put this mess back together. tearing part of dash apart was time consuming!
