De-Pinning tool

We purchased from FireFly a kid to convert our living room accent lights in our 2016 Anthem 44B so that they are dim-able. To do so I need to change the wire on the breaker panel from the # 21 terminal to the #7 terminal . Does anyone know off hand what size round pe-pinning tool I need to change that wire. There seems to be a wide selection of these de-pinning tools available but I have no idea what size I need and don"t want to purchase something that is no good to me. Any info that I can get will be appreciated as I know absolutely nothing about these tools. thanks Alan.

Try this one. I carry it in my tool box to cover all the bases.

How about a picture of the connector? Most connectors that I’ve come across in the coach are either Molex or Amphenol...Either pin pushing tool can be found on the internet.

Thanks,I've seen that one and wondered if it has the tool on it that I need. I guess at this point I will just order one of them and see if it works. I know it is supposed to be round but I just don't know what size round. I am probably making this more difficult than it needs to be but I have just never used or had occasion to use one of these tools therefor I know nothing about them.I have been told by Entegra that I will need a round de-pinning tool for Molex connectors. The size is what is confusing me as I have no idea how many sizes there are and looking on the internet has not helped.

You can find that Leslie tool locally sometimes, worth a shot, I have had one for 20 plus years usually gets the job done. Connector specific is better but they are connector specific and expensive

What is involved with this kit. This is a project I was going to want to do also.

You need to contact FIREFLY Integrations ( Steve Deskins, 574-825-4600 , steved@fireflyint.com ) with coach specific information AND Firefly will then create a programmer ( $250 ) with instructions to re-program to make dimmable.

I wish I knew the exact de-pinning tool needed to help Allen as I did this change but a more knowledgable person did the de-pinning portion for me and I didn't pay attention. The process is very straight forward and makes the base accent counter lights very useful !

It’s been a while since I did any work with these connectors, but if you have access to it, take a look and see if there’s any numbers on either side of the connector. If so, then do a search on the number and it may provide a family of pins used for that connector. From there you should be able to determine the pin size.....

I have been told now by 2 different people who should know that I need a round Molex de-pinning tool and Walmart had them, so I ordered a set of de-pinning tools from Walmart that has a round Molex tool with it Hopefully it is the right size. This tool has two ends and each is a different size I hope one of them is the right one. Wish me luck, keeping my fingers crossed although I find it difficult to type this way.. Thanks for all of your posts . .....Alan.
