Debris in the wet bay
I drove through rain yesterday for 5 hours. When I went to empty my tanks today I noticed all of this debris had made it into the bay. Have any of you experienced this and have a suggestion as to how to avoid this?
thanks

Looks like the drain is in the open position....you screw in it until when you click it closed it makes for a tight seal.

Could be construction debris falling down from above.

I checked, the drain was in the closed position (it pushes to open and close). 5,000 miles on the coach but maybe construction debris.......

I recommended every build station be given a shop vac and that it had to be used before the crew went home for the day. Obviously my suggestion was ignored!

check the bay door and see if it latches touching the gasket so it will seal and keep road dirt out from the road. Check and see where it comes from and seal it.

It looks like the same construction debris I had. The first section of rough road, my wet bay looked just like that. I don't think Entegra had shop vacs in the old building, construction debris was a common thing for the first six months. Touring the new building I saw lots of shop vacs, some were even in use

In my Classic there must have been a ton of sawdust on top of the waste tanks that kept finding its way into the wet bay floor. It had finally slowed down, but started back up again when I picked up a family of "waterbugs" (Deep South folks know what I'm talking about) at a campground in South Georgia and they started dragging more of that stuff in there. In our new coach the wet bay looked just like that with construction debris. I hosed it all out and swept it down the floor drain. On the floor behind the kick panel under the dash where your left foot is when driving I took out a lunch bag full of cuttings, hole plugs from hole saws, paper wrappers, and saw dust. In the through bays the carpet was covered in sawdust and debris after the first trip. What a mess it is!

Tonight turn on your cargo bay lights on with the doors closed and look to see if you can see light coming through the door gaskets I had the same problem had to adjust the door to close a little tighter

Ours had to have the lower seal metal built up to allow the door to seal. The opening was originally cut too large and it would never seal. As you have found it is a mess when it doesnt seal.
